In order to comply with the current situation, all Commission staff will be working from home as of today 1 April 2020. The Commission will continue to operate as effectively as possible during this period. Detecting new charges and convictions of those people who hold a current WWC Card and preventing them from continuing to engage in child-related work where their criminal record and behaviour indicates they may harm a child; and Protecting children by creating awareness that child safety is a whole community responsibility. Under the Working with Children Act 2004; 1. If you are a gym owner and children are involved at your gym, you must ensure you have a Working with Children Check. 2. A gym owner must ensure all trainers and seconds who are likely to be in contact with a child, have a Working with Children Check. See clause 12 Fact sheet 1
