25.01.2022 What would you like to see at McDermott Avenue Reserve in Mooroolbark? The reserve used to be the home of local netball clubs, before they moved to Pinks Reserve several years ago. Now we want to know how we can improve the space. We're planning out the future of the reserve and starting a Master Plan for the area. The plan will map out what kind of sports and recreation opportunities will be available over the next 10 years.... We’re putting together a map of internet and mobile coverage and want more detail about the quality of your internet to advocate to the State and Federal Government for better internet and telecommunications infrastructure (such as phone towers) and to assist Council in reducing isolation to communities in the threat of a natural disaster. The free 'We Can Ride' - come and try sessions have been running over the past month and have been a huge success.... 15.01.2022 Some important information from Victorian Department of Health & Human Services about the new Victorian Travel Permit System, coming into place from 6pm tonight. The traffic-light system will allow people travelling from green and orange zones to enter Victoria with specific permits and conditions of entry. 15.01.2022 Some important information from VicRoads about works coming up on the Black Spur between 29 November - 17 December. Works will be happening from 9pm-5am, Sunday-Thursday, until mid-December (weather permitting), with the Spur closed in both directions overnight. It will be open during the day and overnight on Friday and Saturday. During the works, detour signs will be in place along the Melba Highway to Yea. Please keep in mind that this detour adds at least an hour to... travel time, so planning your travel is essential. VicRoads will be patching damaged sections of road, resurfacing and improving linemarking between Fernshaw Picnic Ground and Dom Dom Saddle Picnic Ground, with new slow vehicle pull over signs to help drivers navigate the road. 08.01.2022 Consultation for the Lilydale Quarry Redevelopment is underway. The State Government’s Victorian Planning Authority is seeking feedback on a draft Planning Scheme Amendment C193 to the Yarra Ranges Planning Scheme, to enable implementation of the Lilydale Quarry Comprehensive Development Plan. You're invited to submit comments on the Comprehensive Development Plan and accompanying draft planning scheme amendment documents by 5:00pm Friday 18 December 2020.... The Plan identifies the location of approximately 3,000 future homes and the infrastructure needed to support the growing community such as roads and community facilities. It also outlines commercial land for employment and retail. The Plan will set in place the planning controls for how the site will be developed over the next 20 years.
