Here are some: NICC: What changes did you make in our business to navigate the Covid Safe rules? Black Bird Café: We encouraged social distancing, QR code and also manual sign in. We used individually packaged cutlery, salt & pepper & sugar and had our guests sanitize their hands. There was also the mandatory cleaning of tables and chairs after every eating (kept us on our toes!). NICC: With the relaxing of Covid rules on the NSW Government effective 7 Dec, how are you preparing for a busy Summer period? Black Bird Café; From a service prospective we’re not changing too much, given we’ve been able to stay quite busy. We’re also slightly able to increase our capacity, all cleaning procedures and measures will stay the same. NICC: Reflecting on 2020, what have been your lessons learnt or wins to come out from this year as a business? Black Bird Café: A lot! We have learnt to adapt to the ever changing conditions that all businesses had to shift to accommodate whatever restrictions put in place.
