23.01.2022 Commercials HC are proud of all our members and recently Kay Lehmann was inducted into the Hockey Australia Hall of Fame. Kay started at the Roo's in 1980 and helped with the introduction of our first A Grade Ladies team. During her time Kay coached many players and teams and was influential in our success. Kay was also the President for a number of years and an interesting fact, she remembers when the Red was introduced into our playing strip. There were concerns men woul...dn't wear red socks, now the red socks are well and truly ingrained in our culture. 17.01.2022 Well we didn’t win the big pack and we were lucky that Carissa Marshall entered for another type of pack and had a win!! Carissa has passed it on to the Roo’s, thanks heaps we will use it well.

16.01.2022 So before they played in the Grand Final weekend, some of our Roos were part of the NQ teams competing at the 13-19 yrs championships that had been postponed from earlier in the year. Tahnee Marshall, Tia Jones, Jordan Cameron, Christine Heijneman and Imogen Patterson played in the girls team that ended up finishing 8th. Kaleb Lewis also participated as one of the umpires for the girls championships. Nathan Whalley and Kye Johnston both played in the boys team who finished 6...th. Mitch Foster opted not to play this year, travelling with the boys as the umpire instead. He was rewarded for his efforts with the Grand Final game and just last night was named as the QLD umpire for the QLD Team of Merit that would have been travelling to NZ had the tour been going ahead. Congrats to all our Roos, players and umpires for a fantastic effort representing NQ. See more
