25.01.2022 "When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it. That's when you can get more creative in solving problems." ~ Stephen Covey ~

23.01.2022 This morning I was reflecting on how much I used to connect the word compassion with some sort of religious way that I should be in the world. Somehow it was still outside of myself, a concept, something to strive for, but probably impossible to reach. As I have become more and more understanding of myself and of the precious needs that are within me that are motivating every action that I take, I find that my natural place to rest, when I loosen my judgments, is compassion. From this place of self-connection and self-understanding, I can see you with much softer eyes and a way more open heart... And all that is, is love.

17.01.2022 Are you or someone you know interested in learning the foundations of NVC? We will be coming to Melbourne in July (& Sydney this month). Click on the post below to find out more :)... Love Shari x

13.01.2022 There is a deep calling within each one of us... we just need to listen.

09.01.2022 Life is Oneness. So how could we ever be separate when we are alive? Feel it... look out the window at nature. See life. Now where are you in what you see? How could you be separate to life. How could you be separate to others? We are joined in one life. What we do to others affects us. When we poison the planet, we are poisoning ourself... ... With Love, Shari

06.01.2022 We are phenomenally powerful beings. THIS IS OUR TRUE NATURE. What gets in the way, however, is when we put our power outside of our self by blaming people around us. Look at Nelson Mandela, he was imprisoned for years and years. Yet he was still awake to the choice and power he had within himself in how to view his captors and his choice to love anyway. And we can feel it. Inside of us, we might FEEL powerful, but it is not an open connected power... it is an isolated pow...er. Or we feel an inner collapse. So truely, no-one benefits as we either feel isolated or powerless. And so do those we love.

06.01.2022 Sometimes I find myself getting frustrated or upset by what's going on around me. Just recently, I found myself being triggered by something that one of the event participants was saying. Yet, when I stayed with it for longer and really felt into what was going within me, what I found was that the situation reminded me of when I was at school and how I didn't belong within a group of 30 girls. When I was able to just stay present to that feeling, whilst also having the insig...ht of how distressing it was to not belong, and not move from that feeling and just hold awareness with it. It was then that it took on a whole new quality. There was a sweetness to being directly in the experience when I wasn't also engaged in the thought about it. Suddenly I had compassion for myself of how hard it was to go through school feeling different and being singled out. The compassion that I felt when I held all of these within me simply opened my heart and brought me to a new place of wholeness.

06.01.2022 URGENT Hi - We (Jacqueline Wechsler and Shari Elle) are urgently needing your help. We are hoping to raise funding to go to Palestine in April and to raise mon...ey for 30+ Palestinian women who are already in positions of leadership to attend a 4 day program run by Miki Kashtan (NVC) on Nonviolent Communication and Convergent Facilitation. The funds will cover the training, accommodation and meals costs for 30+ Palestinian women, plus our travel to Palestine to support this training. The skills being shared at this training are already contributing to significant social change such as supporting the reform of family law in Minnesota and also currently influencing Child Labour in the world. It is is a project which has the capacity to create real social and even potentially world change. These women will be learning how to influence from minority positions, building skills and communities of support to assist them to stay engaged for long periods of time in very challenging situations, and a powerful facilitation skill called Convergent Facilitation which supports people with opposing points of view to come together with a common focus and achieve otherwise impossible results. The program is year long with ongoing support. Could you please support us financially ASAP as this project is being presented tonight to a large group and the more money that is already raised the more the project has credibility and attracts more funds. For each $400 contributed one additional woman will be able to attend the training. Jax and I are both supporting with our extensive skills and also bringing these skills back to Australia. Could you please help us... every bit helps.

03.01.2022 "Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~

01.01.2022 One of the things has absolutely transformed my life and made things so much simpler is to stop wanting anyone else to be different from who they are. When I am trying to make someone else change, firstly, it is almost impossible, and, secondly, I am judging them. So we are already moving from a place of disharmony and disconnection and I am still trying to get them to change! It was insanity and it took SO MUCH ENERGY!!! Instead, when I can use this same energy (or less) to... connect with my own heart and what it is that I really, really care about and what it is inside of me that is triggered and reactive and transforms (THAT), then I am in a whole different place of power and self-awareness. There is a vulnerability inside of me that others can connect to. And then their heart opens and sometimes change magically happens. Either way I have already reached peace within myself. With love, Shari
