24.01.2022 - JAMES REESON We are so pleased to have James on our Board of Community Committee Members! Local celebrity chef James Reeson is well known around Australia for hosting the national television series ‘Alive and Cooking’. Born in the UK, James has traveled the world cooking in different countries and with different cuisines. He finally settled in the Illawarra after hosting the ABC networks, ‘The Occasional Cook’ and ‘James Can Cook’. Australia felt like homeamazing people, excellent produce and awesome surf! he said.

18.01.2022 SO MANY OF OUR NSW COMMUNITIES STILL NEED HELP [Monday - Wednesday 8:30-6:00pm]... Members of our Northern Suburbs community - PLEASE HELP US get much needed resources to the MANY communities that are desperate for supplies. So far we have seen incredible donations for our immediate shoalhaven neighbours, BUT there are still so many communities (particularly our inland / rural communities) that are desperate for supplies. DIGNAM Real Estate Bulli is now acting as a drop off point for: - WATER / ELECTROLYTE DRINKS Bottled water, cordial, Gatorade, hydrolyte etc - NON PERISHABLE FOODS Tinned food, tinned fruit, tinned soups, pasta, rice, noodles, lifelong milks, teas, muesli bars, coffee, baby formula, etc - BASIC MEDICAL ITEMS Moisturising cremes, sanitizers, wipes, chap sticks, Panadol, face masks, throat lozenges etc - PERSONAL HYGIENE Men/women/children sanitary items, dental items, soaps, deodorant ect - PET FOOD - A heart felt letter from one Aussie to another Please contact us via Messenger for any questions or delivery time. Community Before Commission is people coming together to provide opportunities for our community to grow and thrive.... As a mum of two boys (and one dog), Kirsten Immens is constantly on her feet in the community, attending activities like nippers, soccer and AFL. She’s been a community nurse in the lllawarra for three years, and works closely with children and their families. Kirsten believes it takes a village to raise a child, and is proud to be a part of Community Before Commission and help people change their circumstances. See more

13.01.2022 - GLEN SAVILLE We are SO excited to have Glen on our Board of Community Committee Members! Glen Saville is a two-time Olympian and has a career in professional basketball with the Illawarra Hawks spanning almost 20 years. Over that time, he has been involved in many community initiatives and still coaches young basketball players at the local PCYC and helps out with school holiday clinics. Glen is excited to be involved with Community Before Commission and to help give others the opportunity to make a difference.

12.01.2022 Our hearts go out to all those who have lost their homes and those who continue to fight to keep their homes with these devastating fires. Over 4 million hectares have burnt, 829 houses lost and 9 lives including 2 Australian heroes fighting to save other people and their homes. It is amazing to see our community get together to help each other through such a crucial time. We have so much gratitude for all those risking their lives to protect others in need. These are our true Australian heroes
