25.01.2022 Today is White Balloon Day. White balloon day is to raise funds and awareness for the prevention of child sexualising assault and exploitation. This morning we watched a video from our centre partner- Bravehearts- the video covered "yes" and "no" feelings, who to run and tell when feeling these "no" feelings. As well as heaps of other Educational information, in a child friendly manner. All of our Educators have recently completed their updated, two part, Child Protection Certificates and we are committed to keeping our children safe. #whiteballoonday #oneinfive

10.01.2022 In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day (4.8.20). This morning we set up a series of interactive experiences to open children's eyes to some of the different Cultures within our Service and the wider and local Community. Painting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flags and Rock Painting using traditional Aboriginal symbols. Every child fully engaged within the experiences and it was a great morning for all involved.

02.01.2022 What have we been up to at CKCN? I'm glad you asked! Science Themed learning has been a real interest in the Kindergarten room- where the children have made their very our own lava lamps, melted ice with salt and enjoying some quality Tea Times and outside picnics together. In Nursery we've been exploring our senses while enjoying some water and other messy play. In junior Kindy we bought our outside environment- in and connected with the world around us- With our very own lizard joining the room (which we have since let free). Our Toddlers have been thriving off our weekly Japanese and Cosmic Yoga lessons- improving and loving each class. And soooo much more! Occupancy is rising fast- enroll today, before you miss out on all the FUN!
