12.01.2022 We got exciting news! We have won the FeedMORE grant from SecondBite and 7-Eleven. Their contribution makes us confident to keep serving those in need and so, extremely grateful. As a Village, we collaborate and support each other. It is in moments like this when we acknowledge our Pantry will not be operating 4.5 tones of food a week and feeding 900 mouths, 250 families, and 120 International Students without our partners and contributors. FoodMORE Grant would greatly ampl...ify the scope of our services, and facilitate the effectiveness and efficiency of Village Pantry. 7-Eleven Australia SecondBite See more

11.01.2022 Bread tags! Yep..you heard right...all those tags that find their way in the bin..NOT ANYMORE ..CSS is very mindful of the environment and how every little bit counts (literally). CSS receives over 150kg of bread daily, and our lovely volunteers removes the tags and ties the bag in a knot. These tags are then given a life, either as prothetic limbs or disability chairs. We have getting tiny little bags of tags that have been on the kitchen bench from Mums and Kids. You don...'t need big money,or complex education to do 'your bit'. We are all accountable for planet earth. We live on it, and we should protect of children and for their children. I was once asked by a good friend in an executive role 'Mona, you are so busy , why do you do this ?'(as it is time consuming given the amount of bread we receive) I replied ' Because I CAN!'. And you CAN too..because every little 'bit' counts
