18.01.2022 We recently supported Collier Primary School with funding for a new children's reading program run by "Story Dogs". The Story Dogs Mission is "to make reading fun for children, so they become confident lifelong readers". This is an amazing program for children, as reading to a dog improves their focus, increases their literacy skills, and their confidence soars. To read more about this excellent program, go to storydogs.org.au. This program embraces Rotary International's provision of "basic education and literacy" strategic area of focus. Como Rotary Club is a proud Community Partner with Collier Primary School.

15.01.2022 Did you know that on average each household disposes of around 24 kg of furniture a year, with 2/3 of that being soft furnishings*. You know what they say; "one... man's trash is another man's treasure". Remember just because it may not be "in-style" or you have decided to upgrade, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't love it. WHERE CAN I DROP OFF? We are open Monday - Thursday, 9am-3pm. Donations can be dropped off to our warehouse (40 Bassendean Rd, BAYSWATER) HOW DO I ORGANISE COLLECTION? Contact our donations team either on 0403 367 767 or at [email protected]. Please remember items need to be clean & in good condition for us to be able to pass onto our families. * information according to waste.com.au.

13.01.2022 We are delighted to support our valued Community Partner, Collier Primary School, with the publication of this excellent new Cook book. This was organised as a fundraiser project by the School P&C, during COVID-19 times, as an alternate idea to traditional events. We are very sure the Cook book will sell like hot cakes!

11.01.2022 Honouring a Hero: Part of being a Rotarian is aspiring to make the world a better place. One Rotarian who truly delivered on this promise was Sir Clem Renouf, w...ho passed away on 11 June. Clem hailed from Nambour, Qld, and was president of Rotary International in 1978-79. However, he will perhaps be longest remembered for the pivotal role he played in helping rid the world of polio. If you would like to honour the life of this amazing man, Past RI Presidents Ian Riseley from Australia and Bill Boyd from New Zealand suggest you consider supporting the cause Sir Clem was so passionate about End Polio Now. Along with Past RI Director Noel Trevaskis and RI Director-elect Jessie Harman, Ian and Bill have established The Sir Clem Renouf Polio Appeal.
