18.01.2022 Hi all, The good news - Nacho has a new home! It's all happened quite fast but we are super keen to get Nacho settled into his new home as soon as we can rather than getting too bonded here and having yet another difficult transition. He's off to Sydney to live but we have an issue with transport! We need to get him transported to Sydney to arrive Friday late afternoon. Fantastic but please note I didn't fact check or any of that good stuff, I just shared it because I liked it and thought it was an interesting perspective. 09.01.2022 Great idea. Lots of animals in pounds would benefit from this treatment. In rescue we see over and over again that it's the picture that does it so if you have even reasonable photographic skills, might be worth considering volunteering to get character photos of animals needing homes.

09.01.2022 Beautiful cat looking for a home: "Our family is moving to Bangkok in January for a Government posting and we are hoping to find a good home for our much loved cat, Katinka. We have enquired but unfortunately we are unable to take her with us. We will be away for 18-24 months and would ideally love to find someone to foster her during that period. However, we also know that whoever looks after her is very likely to fall in love with her so we will also be happy to find her a ...home where she becomes a permanent part of the family. She is a sweet-natured, gentle soul whose favorite hobbies include sleeping, eating the odd bug and curling up on a lap. We adopted her 7 years ago and she’s an absolute sweetheart. She’d best suit a house where she’d be the only cat as other cats seem to pick on her. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and because of this she’s an indoor cat most of the time. We let her out in the backyard when we’re home with her. She’s in great health and our vet is always commenting on how healthy she is for her age. She’s a rescue cat so we don’t know her exact age, but she is likely around 9 or 10. She truly is a beautiful, affectionate, ginger girl. 06.01.2022 Can't figure out which emotion comes out on top. Very happy for this little dog but devastated for the way in which it happened, the fact that someone chose not to desex the dog and then dump the mum as well as the pups and the fact that this continues to happen the world-over and most dogs are not as lucky to find kind people as these were. Hopefully they will find great homes but hoping is a poor substitute for a better way of thinking about animals in our lives. Nag all your friends and relatives...desex those pets! You'd be amazed how many intelligent people don't get it and how many bizarre reasons they come up with for not doing it.

04.01.2022 Share freely. A message that cannot be repeated too often. Young people, even those with the very best of intentions, are often the ones that need to see this the most. Not because they are irresponsible or uncaring, but simply because they cannot imagine where their life will take them over the period of a dog's 15-20 year life.

03.01.2022 We have been contacted by a local vet who have fallen in love with this little man who has been abandoned at their surgeryhe needs a new home and one which values him as the beautiful natured boy he is. They tell me he is very well behaved and would probably be good with kids. We ideally need to find him a new home (so share, share, share!) but if anyone could offer a foster home while we look for his forever home that would be amazing. If you have a dog and aren't sure i...f they would get along we can help facilitate an introduction and trial period. Of course, if they didn't get along there would be no obligation. Gorgeous boy who deserves better. If vet staff (who see a lot of sad cases) are going above and beyond he must be a gem. Please PM us if you can help.

01.01.2022 Just had a very sad phone call to say that a lovely lady I rehomed this little dog to 5 years ago has died. Her dying wish was apparently that I find Nacho another great home so the pressure is on. This is the listing from 5 years ago (including a video) but apart from being a little older and a little calmer, he won't have changed much. He very much needs a companion who wants a lapdog to love and get boundless love in return and would do best with an active senior. Please h...ave a read of the listing and think about anyone you know who might be a good home for Nacho, or people who work in a job who might come into contact with lots of people who would make a good home for Nacho! Happy to consider interstate if it's the right home. PM me for more info or to talk about the little man. This will be the 3rd home for Nacho due to the death of his owner.
