24.01.2022 'By The Light Of The Moon' is the latest single from Chelsea Basham's outstanding debut album "I Make My Own Sunshine". It's a sophisticated piece of country soul featuring a sultry and evocative vocal performance from this year's 'Best New Talent Of The Year' Golden Guitar winner. Though the lyric can be interpreted generally as being about struggles of communication between two people, the music video for 'By The Light Of The Moon' addresses the issue of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder suffered by veterans of war. In the video Chelsea plays the partner of a young veteran of the war in Afghanistan who is struggling to re establish their relationship while living with PTSD. Raechel has spent her life immersed in Australias country music scene. Raised in Broken Hill and Parkes, as well as in a caravan, she grew up playing mandolin, guitar, banjo and keys - and was the primary songwriter - in her familys travelling band The Lees. Her first solo E.P. OUTLAW was released in 2016 and early this year she released I FOU...ND HOME, the first single from her forthcoming debut album. Raechel's latest single MY FATHER - her first for Compass Bros - was released three weeks ago and has already notched up 50,000 streams on Spotify. Raechel has the rare ability to observe everyday life with warmth, insight and humour and to craft those observations into songs that we havent heard before.
