25.01.2022 FLASHBACK FRIDAY Flashing back to our 2018 & 2019 Christmas Appeals where we were able to help over 200 families! This year we have a big goal ahead of us to help 2000 local community members that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. We know with the support of Glen Eira businesses and community members we're in with a chance to get there! #ChristmasAppeal2020

24.01.2022 COMMUNITY KITCHEN Sunday always reminds us of our Community Kitchen lunches where our community would gather for a sit down hot meal and casual chatter! It's one of life's greatest pleasures to sit around a table and share food. ' ! !! (note: though our program is currently suspended we can't wait to resume once it's safe for the community to do so. We can however still provide food relief parcels so please don't hesitate to reach out)

23.01.2022 THANK YOU THURSDAY There are just two days to go until our hamper item drop-off and some early donations have started to roll in! A big thank you to @egoskincare who donated 2000 (yes, 2000!!!) sanitiser bottles & hundreds of sunscreen bottles. ... Also pictured are the muesli bars and shampoo we were able to secure thanks to the support from Foodbank Victoria. We can't thank you both enough, what a great start to our Christmas Appeal!

With the help of Glen Eira businesses and community members we are looking to give out 2000 hampers to those needing a helping hand this Christmas. ... : Provide food items (full list below) Donate a cash contribution *every $50 provides for 1 hamper. All monetary donations are tax deductible* (link below) Promote the Appeal to your family and friends (tell them or tag them in this post) Donated goods can be dropped off 11am -2pm Saturday 21 November & Sunday 22 November at Compass Community Care, 5b South Drive Bentleigh. 18.01.2022 We are a week into our Christmas Appeal & just wanted to share some other ways you can help us outside of cash donations and hamper items. By simply sharing any of our Christmas Appeal posts on your own page, you can help our message be seen by hundreds of people! As we are trying to give out 2000 hampers, every little share helps. We are also looking for notes of encouragement/hand written Christmas cards to accompany our hampers. They could be decorated by kids or... just contain words that could brighten someone's day. 18.01.2022 TODAY IS THE DAY! We are busy setting up for the Christmas hamper drop-off today & tomorrow but wanted to quickly check in with one final reminder. The hamper item drop-off will take place at: CCC HQ (5b South Drive, Bentleigh) 11am - 2pm ... For those who might be heading out to collect some items today we've done up a quick little hamper list that you can save to your phone and take with you! For those who want to see how our day is going we will be doing some live stories throughout the day on both Facebook and Instagram. Better get back to it, see you soon!

14.01.2022 WOW! We were overwhelmed with the support that came through from the community yesterday. We'll save the formal thank yous for later but we are so grateful for every single item that was dropped off. We can't wait to see what today brings! Hamper drop-off 11AM - 2PM

14.01.2022 CHRISTMAS CHEER On Tuesday a team of volunteers put together 140 hampers for patients and front line health workers on the general medical ward at Monash Hospital. They were warmly received bringing some much needed joy and Christmas cheer during such a tough time. Sharing time with and blessing the staff for their unwavering commitment, selfless service and everyday efforts to care for our community to keep us safe during this unprecedented time was very special for all.... A very warm thank you to all those who helped make this happen from providing donations, to helping wrap and pack the hampers, and delivering the hampers. This brought about many smiles. Merry Christmas to our community!
