One recent analysis of this evidence sugg...ested that three 45-minute exercise sessions per week (135 minutes total) was enough to provide anti-depressant benefits to mental health. Exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous to help: moderate exercise like fast walking, moderate cycling, steady lap swimming, or anything that causes a rise in heart rate and a bit of a sweat, is the best way to give your brain a boost. On the theme of 'moderate' be sure to work within your comfort levels during The Push-Up Challenge. Throw in some other exercises to substitute for push-ups if you need.

At age 84, with two dodgy hip replacements, arthritis in his ankle, a 25mm tear in his right shoulder and 12 mm tear in his left shoulder, he decided to walk into a gym for the first time in life, because he wanted to become more mobile, be able to walk more, improve his hip pain, and regain his fitness, balance and strength. He wanted to achieve these goals within 18 months, but he has now achieved them all within a few weeks! He is very happy he can now lift h...is grocery bags up onto the bench and shower and dry himself without having to hold onto the railing, now having two hands free instead of one for these tasks. The pain in his shoulders and hip have now completely gone and his hip has stopped popping out. He can now walk as fast as what he could when he was young. She achieved her goals of losing fat from her stomach and all cellulite from her hamstrings, toning her triceps and achieving incredible endurance within a matter of 3 weeks! She also went from being able to do only knee push ups, to being able to do 25 on her toes within 5 weeks.
