24.01.2022 A bad case of the Guilty Mums!! Mums please go easier on yourselves, if you are treating your child with respect and love, feeding them nutritional foods, setting boundaries that are clear, being present with your child and following your instincts, then 99% of the time you are going to be on the right track. Leave the self guilt out of it because no one can be 100% right all the time, even Mums make mistakes. What is important is that if you have concerns about your childs... mental, emotional or physical state then seek the help of a health care professional. Too often I see my mums in tears and full of self doubt because their child is unwell, yes its terrible when your child is sick, but its not your fault!! Mums now take a look away from your Facebook into the eyes of your child and spend this moment connecting and knowing you are doing your best and that is enough. You have my full support Nancy Lee See more

23.01.2022 Thanks for all the well wishes for my mum- I went home to NZ to treat her with acupuncture last week, the treatments were successful and she is now pain free and getting back to her artwork. It was tulip season while I was there and the streets of Rotorua were lined with over 100,000 bulbs in bloom- gorgeous. John

22.01.2022 New findings show about 20% to 40% of all cancer cases and about 50% of all cancer deaths can potentially be avoided by making modifications in lifestyle. A large cohort study among a portion of the US white population concluded that a large proportion of cancer cases could be prevented if people did not smoke, drank only a little alcohol, maintained a healthy weight and exercised regularly, at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week. As holistic health practitioners we review our patients diet and lifestyle to help prevent disease. Keeping you posted John Deare

19.01.2022 Teenage depression is a serious issue causing distress, lack of joy and sometimes harm to teenagers and their families. Acupuncture can assist teens in rising up out of depression by supporting their liver and heart and calming their nervous system so that their body is better able to regulate hormonal fluctuations and process stress hormones. This strengthens their energy and mind to better deal with lifes ups and downs. Treating teenage patients is exciting and dynamic, I love seeing my teenagers grow stronger each session as they strive toward their incredible potential. Teenagers Im here to support u Nancy Lee

15.01.2022 Acupuncture can help tendon and sinew issues like tennis elbow, golfers elbow, achilles heel, lower back pain and neck and shoulder pain by activating the dry injured areas and stimulating the flow of fresh nutritive blood through them. Pop in this Spring for a tendon tune-up so you can have an active and pain less Summer.

13.01.2022 Research done on mice recently at Melbournes Monash University suggests that eating a high fibre diet changes bacteria in the gut to protect against food allergies. Next step the researchers say is to test on humans. Tackling food allergies could be as simple as adding some bran and dried apricots to your breakfast daily. Keeping you posted. John Deare

11.01.2022 According to Five element theory, Winter is the season of the Kidneys. In Chinese Medicine the Kidneys govern birth, growth and development, thats why all my acu babies are having growth spurts and teething at the moment! Dont despair Mums this is great, theyre pushing through those pearly whites so they can move onto chunkier foods and some tenderness of gums is normal with this. However, when the system is not in balance teething can affect appetite, stool and sleep. If this happens bring your baby in for a Shonishin treatment to balance their system and Ill show you some key pressure points to help them-and you-cope a little better with teething. Happy teething! Nancy Lee
