24.01.2022 SCAM ALERT! We’ve had several reports of scammers calling people from what appear to be trusted NSW Police Force numbers and threatening the call recipients wit...h fines or arrest. These scammers are using technology to make it appear that the calls originate from legitimate police phone numbers; a practice known as ID spoofing. The caller impersonates a NSW Police Force officer and states that the person receiving the call has an outstanding fine or warrant. The scammer demands a form of payment to prevent arrest or further court action. The NSW Police Force will never call a member of the public and demand payment over the phone in order to avoid going to court or being arrested. If you get an unexpected call from someone who states they're from the police, and starts asking for personal details or threatens you, please hang up. If you’re concerned, you can always verify by contacting your local police or the Police Assistance Line directly on 131 444. To find out more information about scams, or to find out other ways to protect yourself, visit www.scamwatch.gov.au. If you have been the victim of a scam, you can report it to local police or to the ACCC online at the ‘SCAMwatch report a scam’ page.

14.01.2022 Ken, Diana and Tim at Compu-K-Computers were the people I phoned after my laptop was completely botched up by a large, well known company. The service I received on the phone and at their place of business in Lismore was exceptional. The ongoing information about my computer and what repairs were needed was first class, the speed everything was repaired and the end cost was absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work. A complete list of errors was ...also made up for me to then obtain a full refund from the company that originally botched my laptop. That full refund was obtained by me, due to that list of errors. Being a solo woman at the beginning of the lockdown I obviously was in need of my laptop for living and contact with the outside world, extremely important to me, and Compu-K-Computers got me up and running in record time. I will always recommend them for their knowledge and expertise in this technological era, plus the fact that you can be helped by Remote Assistance if need be. I just wanted you to know I was so pleased with all the help and work you did to get my laptop back to me. I will write a separate email to put on your website, which all helps in business, I think. But your information and help over the phone, the total work put into repairing my laptop after being totally demolished by that disgraceful, 'shonky' company, was amazing, and also the length of time, so quick and also the cost, was absolutely brilliant.
