13.01.2022 System building has evolved. More and more of our Business clients are opting for ultra small PCs with fast Solid State Drives for new machines. They're cost effective, save space and require less labour to build. It's important to know if you plan to upgrade later - as you can imagine you do lose some flexibility opting for the smaller PCs... But in these cold winter days, swapping the bulky box under the desk for a little heater can be tempting!

11.01.2022 A Community Service Reminder! Solid State Drives are still the best way to transform your old laptop or desktop into a faster machine. Here are a few recent benchmarks conducted by our staff between laptop drives. You don't need to understand the numbers too well to see that changing for a traditional Drive to and SSD will make large improvements to loading times - And we recommend Samsung SSDs for their reliability, speed and great warranty

05.01.2022 Dust! Is a common cause of 'slow PC syndrome'. If your PC or Laptop is running slow, turning off all of a sudden or misbehaving more the longer it's been on - you should consider having it properly cleaned out. Here are a few examples from recent computers on our workbench

05.01.2022 Workbench Spotlight - MacBook Keyboard We recently replaced a macbook keyboard for a customer who had spilled a drink on the laptop. Keyboard replacement is a common job for us at Computer Talk - but Apple products are always a little different.. Most laptop keyboards use 0 to 3 screws and a couple of clips, this model: OVER 65 tiny screws!
