25.01.2022 CXT would like to invite all @yourfitnesscairns members to the very first In-House Comp This comp will be held Saturday morning on December 12th at Your Fitness, Cairns. We will have both a female and male division and each team must be in pairs ***Events will all be judged, so technique standards will apply*** ... So get paired up and start prepping for December! There will be three events, two events will be done individually and the last event will be competed as a pair. Event 1: Conditioning Event 2: Strength Event 3: Speed & Endurance Workouts will be released the day before the comp, to ensure no one will have an advantage. 14.01.2022 Hey Team Im asking for your HELP!! I have been training my client, Ross Gates, since December 2019. Ross is still studying for uni and working at the hospital crunching numbers and organising various data. Like some of you can relate to, his job is very sedentary and requires staring at a computer screen for hours on end. As you could imagine, this work can be quite mentally draining and for most days the last thing you want to do is exercise.... However, Ross has challenged himself to an awesome cause to help turn his lifestyle around. He has signed up to the "Darkness to Daylight Challenge", this challenge is about raising awareness for domestic & family violence which has hit an all time high due to covid lockdowns and restrictions. Ross's aim for this challenge is to walk 110km in the month of October BUT....I have challenged him for every dollar extra i help fundraise he will have to add 1km onto it. So just being the awesome trainer i am, i started with a $50 donation. 04.01.2022 Making exercise a part of your kids lifestyle is essential for preparing them for the future. For kids, emotions can be very overwhelming at times and it can be hard to channel that energy positively. We find that training works well for our little ones, as it helps them feel less stress/anxiety and less overwhelmed, especially when they're tired. It assists with better sleep and prepares them for their sports days, after school sports and activities. Making it fun always he...lps! Try games and activities they enjoy and try to be outdoors where possible. Running isn't necessarily our kids favourite activity but they know they get to have a play afterwards, and they know they feel great when it's done!
