17.01.2022 Sunday school has recommenced via Zoom today for Term 3 and this term we are intending to learn about places that are in the Bible. Todays lesson was about Heaven and Gods invitation to all. The only way to get to Heaven is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your own saviour by acknowledging that you are a sinner before God and to believe that Jesus paid the price for your sin. The verses today were the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Jesus said I am the way.. no man cometh unto the Father but by me. We hope you enjoy some artwork the children did today and if you have children who would like to attend by Zoom, please contact us.

15.01.2022 What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! In a world where the symptoms and consequences of sin; suffering, sadness and sickness, are ver...y real; the only answer for our need now and eternally is Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15 The hymn What a Friend we have in Jesus reminds us that in Jesus Christ we find one who has dealt with the punishment for our sin through His death, gives peace to live through present suffering, and in whom we have eternal hope of freedom from sins penalty. The hymn writer, Joseph Scriven, was born in Banbridge in 1819. His father hoped he would have a military career, and sent Joseph to study at Trinity College, Dublin. It was in Dublin that Joseph first heard the gospel message of a Christ who died to meet our need as sinners, and trusted Him as his personal Saviour. Joseph returned to Banbridge where he was to be married in 1844. Tragedy struck on the day before his wedding, when his fiance fell from a horse while crossing the River Bann, and sadly drowned. A heartbroken Joseph emigrated to Canada. Unbelievably in the year 1857 Joseph was to suffer further loss, when his sweetheart, Eliza Roche, passed away after a lingering illness. From the depths of human suffering Joseph Scriven found solace in his Saviour and Lord, and during this time wrote the words many have come to know and love: What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear; What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! You and I cannot deal with the effects of sin in our lives, or answer to the penalty for our sin eternally. Our sin separates us from a holy God, keeps us out of heaven, and will result in Gods judgement forever. Our only hope of salvation is found in Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, who through His death on the cross paid fully and eternally the penalty which our sin deserved. Through His sacrifice in our place we may experience peace forever. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 On the cross Jesus Christ took the place of the sinner, taking the wounds, the bruises, the punishment and the wrath which our sin deserved. His finished work has triumphed over sin and death, and satisfied the righteousness of God. He is alive in heaven today, and able to save all. We all need to be saved, and all who come will find Him sufficient to meet their need. He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 Your present need, isolated amid sickness and sadness is real, but your greatest need is to be saved eternally. Joseph Scriven could write with certainty of the hope of glory, bright, unclouded. Make sure you trust Christ as your Saviour in time, accepting the peace which is offered, so that you might know what it is to have a Friend in every situation of life, and be sure of everlasting joy with Him in heaven.

11.01.2022 Do you sometimes feel like you have to repeat yourself to be heard? In this verse from the book of Psalms we are told twice in the one verse, to wait on the Lord. 10.01.2022 What are you resting on solid rock or sinking sand? Watch this short video to find out more about having a firm foundation in Christ. The Bible says in Matthew... 7 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (v24) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (v25) And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: (v26) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (V27) If you have any questions about what you have heard or want to know more please send us a message via our Facebook page. Feel free to like and share to spread the good news of the Gospel to all your family and friends (Thanks to Elton Fairfield).

05.01.2022 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:6 Such confidence in today and the future! Have a great week ahead with this assurance in mind.

03.01.2022 HE IS NOT HERE FOR HE IS RISEN Gladness and joy filled the hearts of the disciples on that first day of a new week when they realised that the Lord had really... risen from the dead. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus was now established and proven beyond all doubt - they had seen Him with their own eyes. Over the next forty days there would be many more eyewitnesses to His resurrection. The resurrection of Christ was the crowning proof that He had finished the work that God had given Him to do. What was that work? The Bible tells us that: The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world (1 John 4:14). In other words, He came to save sinners, including you and me. Our sin has separated us from God. There is no way that we can save ourselves from the guilt and power of sin. God sent His Son into the world to take our place and to die in our stead. The Bible says: Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15:3,4). The resurrection of Christ, as a real and historical event, is the defining truth of the Bible. Simply stated, if Christ rose literally and bodily from the dead, then the Bible is surely the word of God and all its claims are true. When I trusted Christ as my Saviour, all my sins were forgiven, and my name was written in heaven. Of that I can be absolutely certain. The death of Christ on the cross has saved me from my sins, while His resurrection has become the guarantee of my resurrection at His coming. What a salvation and what a future! The one who died on the cross is now the risen, living Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (John 5:24). Have you yet trusted the risen Lord as your Saviour? If not, there is nothing more urgent.

01.01.2022 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:18
