19.01.2022 Connect in Quarantine is back once again! This week, weve got a bit of a longer one, as we meet with Dave and Di to have a bit of a catch up - Enjoy!

19.01.2022 #HampersOfHope - Usually, funds generated from Engadine Spring Fair are put back into Engadine and surrounding communities for those in need during the Christmas period and beyond. Sadly, this revenue will not be available this year as the Fair was cancelled due to Covid. So, we would like to call on members of our local community to come together in the form of sponsorship wholly or in part for Christmas Hampers. We would still like to deliver these in the days before Christ...mas to those struggling due to circumstance or affected severely by Covid, and sponsorships would help immensely. Last year, Connect provided approximately 45 hampers to families doing it tough. We would like to achieve that goal again this year, or beyond! We are aware that with a shift in the economy there may be a greater need this year. We cannot do this alone, and ask businesses or individuals that can afford to assist to contact us for details on how to donate. Our intention is for hampers to be catered to the individual needs of the family. Hampers will include staples, possible meat vouchers, fruit and vegetable vouchers, small gifts and or vouchers from small businesses, in turn supporting businesses in our local community. We would like to promote the cycle of love and supporting each other as Christmas approaches. We would appreciate your help as would the families that will find themselves struggling this Christmas in our local area A full hamper $100 Fresh meat or produce voucher $30 Gift allocation $20 Staple assist purchase $10 Send us a message if you would like to help in any way! 10.01.2022 #UPDATE - This year has been full of uncertainty for many reasons - but the one that has affected us all the most is the COVID-19 Pandemic. So, due to these uncertain times, and taking NSW Health's advice on avoiding large gatherings, Connect Community Projects has decided to cancel Engadine Spring Fair 2020. This decision was made to keep as many people safe and healthy as possible; as much as we - and so many of you - were looking forward to the Fair this year and the commu...nity it brings, it is simply not safe to hold it in the current health climate. Thank you everyone for your patience, and for the support you showed for the Fair, both this year and in previous years. Although the Fair has been cancelled in 2020, the team's intention is to run a Fair in 2021. If you have any feedback you would like to give us, please feel free to send it through by using the 'Send Email' button, as we would love to use this time to rethink how we organise the Fair, so it can become easier, straightforward, and more enjoyable for everyone. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy, and (hopefully) we'll see you all in November 2021! The Engadine Spring Fair Team

Paul urges Timothy to ensure the people of the church move away from wasting time, in discussions and speculations about matters which don’t help people to grow in faith in Christ. Paul instead clarifies, yet again, the importance of remaining focussed on the truth of the gospel. Paul then ...writes: Firstly, I appeal to you to engage in prayer, intercede, join in prayer meetings with giving thanks for all people and especially for rulers and everyone in positions of authority, so that we might live out our lives in peace and quiet with godliness and dignity. This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our saviour 1 Tim 2:1-3 Today, if you are a follower of Jesus, please pray for leaders in all areas of life political, business, institutional, educational, church life etc. Pray for wisdom, a new and true common sense, goals for the good of all, healthy collaboration and action to bring about positive change in our world.

02.01.2022 #EconomicalBuildingProjects - it's a challenging season for many in our church family, things have tightened up financially, so we have to be economical with church expenditure. BUT we still want to be a blessing to our community and we're planning to build a community garden in 2021, which will probably need some fences and retaining wall - fortunately a friend has sent me the details of a builder who's cheap!
