24.01.2022 Visitors to these towns are also invited to do the survey ..... share your thoughts about the water in our neighbouring communities

24.01.2022 Here’s an opportunity

21.01.2022 The view from my office this morning.... Hopkins Heights - the best neighbourhood in Australia's most liveable city

19.01.2022 Tomorrow at Capire Consulting Group's virtual conference I'll be sharing why I believe "Diversity is more than demographics." Sociographics, the characteristics that influence the way people receive and perceive messages, is another data profile that can be used to design better engagement processes and communicate in ways that will really help you reach the 'hard to reach'. If you're curious you can register for the session at https://bit.ly/2T9egbN... or if you sign up for Capire's newsletter you receive access to all three days worth of sessions anytime. Might see you there! #turnitup #communication #diversity #engagement #data

19.01.2022 Come and join me at Capire Consulting Group's 2020 Virtual conference. All sessions are free - register now https://capire.com.au/turn-it-up-virtual-conference/

15.01.2022 Success that sustains is never about a few stars - it’s about celebrating the whole team. Oh, and well done on the award South West TAFE - that was great too! #Congratulations #leadership #partnership

15.01.2022 It's Friday ..... #lovestickynotes #remindertomyself

14.01.2022 It makes sense! How can we prosper when some Australians are so deprived? Labour market specialist Sue Richardson said keeping payments so low that people lost dignity and hope and suffered material deprivation hurt not only the people who were unemployed, but also the thousands of children who grew up in their households. #equity #leadership #community #HumanityFirst #basicincome

10.01.2022 Please donate if you can ....

10.01.2022 For those of us who live or spend time in Port Fairy, Heywood and Portland the tap water is one of the unique quirks of these towns. Many people don’t like the taste and those that live there know the impact on their appliances, taps etc. The 'Great Tasting Water' Project is aiming to quantify the benefits of improving water taste and quality to minimise the impacts on businesses and households. I'm working with the team at Capire Consulting Group to talk to people so Wannon... Water understand the impacts and costs better. If you have insights or experiences you would like to share go to the project page here - https://bit.ly/33DYzj0 - or give me a call - I'd love to talk to you! Please share with everyone you know in these towns. Now go and get yourself a big glass of water :) #GreatTastingWater #PortFairy #Portland #Heywood

09.01.2022 Does your team or Council need to better understand deliberative approaches to community engagement? This is an excellent article about the what, why and how! ... more and more people are feeling increasingly alienated from politics and not represented by the political class. Many people, when they look at their elected representatives, see primarily college-educated white men from the big cities. It goes without saying that a population is made up of a lot more than that. Even though a parliament doesn’t necessarily have to be a perfectly proportionate reflection of the population, if the difference is too great, you inevitably have a gap between the elected representatives and the people they represent. #communityengagement #communication #representationmatters #democracy #localgovernment

06.01.2022 During this project I've heard from businesses who spend $1000s on drinking water for staff; invested in filtration systems to protect their equipment and needed multiple waste skips to deal with the plastic water bottles left behind by visitors in accommodation! Also, distressing stories about people who can't afford to buy water in their weekly shop and so don't drink enough water each day; even a pool who spends $10,000s each year to treat the town water to make it meet the swimming pool regulations. So much opportunity to address inequity, disadvantage and improve competitiveness. This is the last chance for businesses and residents to help Wannon Water build a case for improving water quality in Port Fairy, Heywood and Portland. Please do the survey .... every single voice matters! https://bit.ly/33DYzj0

05.01.2022 Last Friday finished the week pretty well

03.01.2022 Today marks the first anniversary of my resignation from the best job I ever had (I will always be grateful to you for creating it Vicky Mason). It took me 5 years before I was ready to take that step away from the work and team I loved into a whole brave new world of working for myself. I have no regrets ... I am glad I made the leap.... Thanks to everyone for their encouragement, support and faith. (Only thing I miss is my brilliant team mates who made the hard days bearable and the good days GREAT - you know who you are) See more

03.01.2022 This week is #NAIDOC2020 I’m privileged to live and work on the land of the Gunditjmara people. I acknowledge the culture of all traditional owners and recognise generations thrived on Country for 10,000’s of years. ... I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
