11.01.2022 APOLOGY: Here at the Victorian Inclusion Agency, we want all educators, leaders, children and families to feel included. Regrettably, last week we published a w...elcome poster (see below) that contains several language errors. We realise that in this instance we did not check thoroughly enough that the language used was culturally and linguistically correct and therefore sincerely apologise for any offence the poster may have caused. We’re committed to addressing our mistakes, so here’s our plan for moving forward: Our Inclusion Professionals will advise children’s services that received the poster of our mistake We will include an apology in the upcoming edition of Inclusion News, as well as the next edition of Embrace magazine To avoid any further offence, in the coming days we will republish a digital version of the poster with the central message only Following on from this, we will double-check all of the words used on the original poster so we can republish a corrected version online and with the next edition of Embrace magazine Thank you to all the educators who shared their feedback about the poster we promise to do better for you. If you’ve received a printed copy of the poster, please don’t display it you will be sent a corrected version later this year. Please direct any further comments of feedback to [email protected] or call 1800 177 017 ORIGINAL POST: Free printable poster Welcome children and families to your early childhood service, OSHC service or school with this gorgeous poster, featuring many of the most common languages spoken in Victoria.
