"Fun, Food, and Free Shopping" An activity wherein we offered entertainment, food, plus FREE groceries (vegetables, meat, canned goods, toiletries, etc) to the International Students and Workers who do not have any Centrelink benefits, and have lost their jobs or their working hours have been reduced. This activity is for those who are affected by COVID19 pandemic.... In collaboration with the BayanihaNT Response Team - For Filipino International Students and Filipino Australian Association of the Northern Territory ("FAANT") Community, we the Connected Women of Darwin put our hands together to support those who are in need. Our greetings to the Filipino Community as they celebrate their 122nd Independence Day. The day was full of entertainments with many cultural dances and various activities. Our big thank for amazing volunteers from different communities who spared their valuable time to make this event successful. At this uncertain time we ...feel that it is more important than ever to recognise and acknowledge Red Cross volunteers across Northern Territory who have been tirelessly supporting the team, processing Emergency Relief payments and supporting those who are in quarantine or whether it’s making Psychological First Aid calls,!
