18.01.2022 CONNECTIONS, an initiative of the Combined Churches of Millicent, led by Kaylene and Lois held a High Tea on Sunday, in the Italian Social Club building, to rai...se funds for the Keilira and Kangaroo Island recovery efforts after the recent devastating fires. Approximately 100 people attended and were entertained with a Fashion Parade and guest vocalist, with raffle tickets and short auction to raise additional funds. Since 56, Sassi, Target and Lifeline provided the fashion parade items. Organiser said today they raised $2500 after expenses and this will be divided between Kangaroo Island and Keilira bush fire recovery efforts. CONNECTIONS also provided the evening meal for the 40 Blaze Aid Team members at Kingston on Monday evening. Trevor Raison from Hatherleigh and Sheryl Lowe from 5THE FM shared MC duties.

16.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that helped yesterday with cooking and donating towards feeding the Blaze Aid volunteers working in Kingston there were a lot of full bellies and no food leftover. A big thank you to Dave at Foster’s Foodland for donating meat and Andy’s Bakery for donating a sponge cake and to our cooks Karen, Margie, Lina, Marlene and Sarah. Also thank you to our 92yo server Barb that helped deliver the food, pictured below with Kaylene and the BlazeAid volunteers.

14.01.2022 Pastor Shaun Mulick, newly appointed to Millicent's Community Church with wife Christie served up breakfast for the community today to launch the free breakfast initiative Breakfast for all..... every Wednesday 8 to 9am at North Tce Millicent. All welcome.
