24.01.2022 And tell me what happens... The thoughts get amplified right? There’s a misconception out there that meditation is about trying to stop the thoughts.... And there’s no way I could meditate, I can’t shut my mind up That was me too! With a brain wired by anxiety I thought meditation would be impossible for me. I tried a few techniques and gave up not long after beginning. Because none resonated, none were what my nervous system was desiring. Until I did find the technique. That enabled me to LET GO. With that said anxious mind I needed to go in the opposite direction. I needed to learn how to let the thoughts be without fuelling them into many and varied catastrophes. I needed to transcend all that nonsense swirling through my mind. And every single day I do just that. Every single day I effortlessly release the clutches of that anxious mind and redesign my experience in this life.

22.01.2022 Yes we need to isolate right now for the sake of our physical health . But what is that doing to our mental health? . Disconnection can leave us feeling unsupported, defeated, and surviving rather than thriving... . All of which are breeding grounds for anxiety, depression and all sorts of mental and emotional instability . My number one tool for navigating this time (and all of life!) is meditation . Meditation enables me to remain connected to my most stable, adaptable and loving self . And it allows me to truly appreciate the bigger picture and to be held by the underlying connection of us all, regardless of whether or not we’re in the same room together . 19.01.2022 POINTS OF DIFFERENCE Favourite song, colour, movie. How many siblings we have. How many children we have. What we do for work.... What we enjoy for leisure. Events that make us cry, and tales that make us laugh. Our home country. Religious view. Spiritual view. Do you prefer indoors or outdoors? You an early bird? Or a night owl? Do you like chocolate? And hot chips too? Do you like the city, the bush or the ocean? You a cat person? Or dog? Showers or baths? Kisses or hugs? Or both? Our height, weight, body shape, genitalia, eye colour, hair colour. Oh yeh, and skin colour. POINT OF UNITY We’re all human beings. We can do better humanity. 17.01.2022 This is inhumane. Absolutely disgusting. To think that a mama who has just gone through, and still is going through, the most life-changing experience of her life will be left without her co-creator after birth. Not to mention the lost bonding between babe and husband/partner. This cannot be allowed!!

15.01.2022 Couldn’t have said it better myself!! Pray if you’re religious. Meditate if you’re not. Do both if both resonate with you.... The details don’t matter. What does matter is the state of the collective mind and the need to care for our mental health now more than ever.

14.01.2022 I awoke this morning feeling as though I was absorbing all the angst of the world around me. I threw out the whole schedule of the day by lazing in bed far too long. And then I realised there was no actual schedule. . .... So I cuddled my boys a little longer. Then I meditated a little longer. Then I ran with the no schedule thing and we ditched homeschool for a bike ride in nature. Then I shone with pride when I sat with my ratbags and read and wrote and I watched their little brains thinking and calculating and growing. Then I got my yoges on. And now I will get my meditation on again. And be thankful for the practices that enable me to ride these crazy ass waves of this crazy ass time we are living in! See more

In a time where it seems like all our freedoms are being taken away, it is so important to cultivate and nurture the freedom within.... It’s there. It’s always there. Nothing external can ever take that away. Sometimes it just gets lost amongst the stress and pressures of life. MEDITATION breaks down the restrictions from stress and conditioning, allowing us to live a life of much more freedom. 06.01.2022 It’s been about 8 months since I’ve guided people through a yoga class. . I took some time off last year for what became the most all encompassing spiritual rehab experience of my life. . My practices had brought everything to the surface.... . And it was time to truly step into that and the practice of healing. It was time to face all the darkness that I’ve been carrying my whole life. . And that needed to be allowed and processed and let go of. . It was hard. So fucking hard. But necessary. So fucking necessary. . And now the world has been given a wake up call also. . A global awakening is happening. . And I’m honoured to be apart of it. I’m honoured to offer practices that facilitated my healing and have such potential for yours. . So today I sit down and put pen to paper to plan a yoga class for students tomorrow. And I’m feeling all the feels. . The practice of yoga is so much more than the poses. So much more. It’s the state of consciousness that unites us with the collective, in the truest sense. . 04.01.2022 THAT’S NORMAL! We’re supposed to feel anxious when we’re being threatened somehow. . .... And we’re all exposed to legitimate threat right now. Threat to our health, threat to our work and financial security, the list could go on and on... . . The problem occurs however when our nervous system normalises living in the anxiety state and doesn’t know how to switch that off any longer. . . Then add a global pandemic to the default anxious mode and there’s potential for that anxiety to escalate beyond control. . . Meditation reengineers the nervous system so that its default is rested, relaxed and adaptable to whatever life throws at us. Yes, we can still feel threatened but we’re better equipped to navigate that threat and we switch straight back into chill mode once the threat is no longer. . . That is why I meditate. Because I spent decades of my life surviving from that anxiety state. . . And that is why I teach others to meditate. Because I want to enable you to live from your thriving state. See more

04.01.2022 I was that girl with such desire to be a mother when she grew up. . But then the doubt grew and grew and grew... . Is it cruel of me to bring children into this world if I curse them with their mothers anxiety?... Could I ever forgive myself if they experienced that torture? Did I have the right to bring children into the world knowing the possibility of what they may experience? . These were the questions that plagued my anxious mind. . But with a lot of turmoil since, a lot of inner work, a lot of deep healing, and a lot of support I no longer carry those fears within me. . I was meant to be their mother. You were meant to be my children. We were meant to offer ourselves to each other. . So to you my boys I say thank you. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for giving me purpose like never before. Thank you for teaching me kindness and compassion by loving me even in my darkest moments. Thank you for inspiring me every single day. Thank you for beginning my awakening. . #mothersday See more
