24.01.2022 W H A T W E D O When you buy, sell or sub-divide real property in SA, the land registry (Land Services SA) must be instructed to update the registry to reflect any new ownership or rights over the land. That's what we do - in simple terms.... Without this crucial step in the transaction, no one would know who actually 'owns' what piece of land in SA. (Conveyancers were historically known as land brokers for this reason) But there is so much more to what we do ... we also handle: Private contracts Land divisions Matrimonial transfers Family farm transfers Grant of easements Encumbrances Applications to register death Family transfers, and more Do you need a South Australian conveyancer? You just found one. Give us a call today to talk through your needs today - (08) 8591 8257.

20.01.2022 Sadly our Murray Bridge office doors are temporarily closed while our building undergoes urgent repairs. However, our team is still here and available by appointment in Murray Bridge or in our Strathalbyn office five days a week. We know our clients love to pop in and discuss their matters with us face-to-face, and we hope to have our doors open again as soon as possible. There is no disruption to our service and settlements are not effected by the temporary closure. In the meantime, our team is available over the phone (08) 8591 8257 or by email [email protected]

19.01.2022 Our Murray Bridge office will be closed today due to staff illness but you can still reach us at our Strathalbyn office on (08) 8591 8257. You can also reach our conveyancing team at [email protected].

But this also means ourMurray Bridge office will be CLOSED from Monday, September 21 to Friday, September 25.... Rest assured we will still be working and readily available from our Strathalbyn office, and we are always available via phone (8591 8257) and email ~ [email protected] We appreciate many of our customers like to be able to pop in and touch base in person, and we're looking forward to being able to greet you from our improved Murray Bridge office fromMonday, September 28.

14.01.2022 HELLO 2021 Our Murray Bridge and Strathalbyn offices are officially open for another year. While the doors have been closed, our conveyancers have still been busy behind the scenes finishing off another record month of settlements. December was huge for our little team, so much so we forgot to share our wonderful end of year celebration memories.... Before the craziness of December hit, we snuck off to the Barossa for a beautifully sunset hike and picnic with @barossawellness it was just magical. Wishing everyone a wonderful new year and, as always, we're here to help with any property needs you might have.

11.01.2022 BUYER BEWARE | ACP CLADDING All purchasers of land in SA will now be warned about the risk of Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) Cladding, which is known to be a significant fire risk in some circumstances. The SA Government holds a comprehensive report on every property, known as the Property Interest Report (PIR), and a copy of this report must be provided to any property Purchaser via the Vendor's Disclosure Statement, or 'Form 1'.... The State Government announced today that the following statement has been added to the Notices section of the PIR: "Aluminium Composite Panel Cladding (ACP) is defined as flat or profiled aluminium sheet material in composite with any type of material. ACP is an external building cladding material which can create a fire risk if used or installed incorrectly. Both Vendors and Purchasers should take reasonable steps to determine if ACP has been identified on any buildings on the land, and also the status of any required remediation works related to the presence of ACP on such building." Further information about ACP can be found on the Plan SA website: https://plan.sa.gov.au//progra/aluminium_composite_panel_a

09.01.2022 | OUT OF SIGHT, NOT OUT OF MIND | To our wonderful clients and colleagues, a reminder our offices will be closed from 5pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020 and reopen at 9am on Monday, January 11, 2021. However, with unprecedented activity in the property market, our registered conveyancers will still be coordinating settlements through this period remotely, and will continue to support our clients via phone and email where needed. We appreciate your patience as we aim to squeeze in... some family time as well :) Our team is incredibly grateful for the support we have received in 2020. We adore South Australia and the beautiful regions we service, and we've only been reminded of this further this year. We can't wait to continue to support you all in your property needs in 2021 <3

07.01.2022 | WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY | If we had to pinpoint one trait which makes a successful conveyancer, it would be diplomacy. Every day we are balancing the objectives of vendors, purchasers, real estate agents, other conveyancers, lenders, lessees and, ideally, keeping everyone happy when those objectives may not be the same. Some settlements are particularly delicate to bring together, and nearly all settlements are an emotional process for the parties involved.... So when we receive feedback like this from our client, the other conveyancer's client AND the real estate agent, we know the hard work, late nights and early starts are well and truly worth it. Good conveyancing is 90% great customer service, and 10% mad paddling under the surface to make settlements *appear* to happen smoothly. We'll always strive to deliver on both.

04.01.2022 AFTER A huge thank you to our superstar builders Spry & Honner Built for creating our new meeting room and partitioning in our Murray Bridge office.... we love it A special shoutout to the boys for suggesting and ensuring our doorways are wheelchair friendly width (that means prams and walkers as well).... We are grateful to the @ruralcityofmurraybridge which provided a Building Enhancement Grant to assist with this project. Our Murray Bridge office is now back open for business and we can't wait to put this new space to use

04.01.2022 The past few months has been pretty crazy for CWC. It's no secret the property sector is booming, and in December alone we handled 200% more settlements than in Jan 2020. When you're a small, (two) family-run business, that means lots of long days and very late nights keeping in touch with our wonderful clients, managing settlements, handling curve balls, running the business itself and also .... mumming! It's amazing how much it puts a spring back in our step each week when... our beautiful clients take the time to say thank you. We don't expect it because we know how busy you all are! So from this little trio, thank YOU ... it truly makes all the hard work pay off x

02.01.2022 | SETTLEMENTS AS USUAL | Hey SA, we've got this! Our team will be joining the rest of the State in a 6-day 'circuit breaker' lock down from midnight tonight.... Thankfully our team are fully set up to work from home and continue to deliver the same service you're used to as we coordinate property settlements for our clients. (gosh our pets are going to be excited .... four dogs and three cats just got promoted to conveyancing assistants/HR managers!) Settlements can proceed as usual, but we understand some clients may not be able to physically move house during the lock down. We are already working with clients, agents and our fellow conveyancers to put contingency plans in place, and will continue to contact our clients on a priority basis over the coming days. Life always happens at once and moving house is stressful enough without a lockdown thrown in the mix, but our team are here to support you, and hopefully find the bright side in this challenging time. We have clients expecting babies, dealing with nursing homes, moving interstate and the rest, and we've been AMAZED by their understanding and optimism this afternoon. You can continue to reach our team on (08) 8591 8257 or email [email protected] Let's do this SA x

01.01.2022 Wow! We are humbled to have been nominated as an SA Woman 'Regional Star' in the 2020 SA Woman Awards We've been recognised for providing conveyancing services to our broad regional community "in a competent and heart focused manner". Thank you to whoever felt motivated enough to nominate our services for this award, and for recognising the client-centric values we strive to deliver on each day... we sure do pour our hearts into every single file. It was a happy coincidence... to receive these gorgeous flowers from a grateful client this morning after we finalised a complex private settlement. This nomination tops off 3 record-breaking months for our little firm and we couldn't be prouder. @sawomanaustralia #SAWAwards2020 #sawomanaustralia
