23.01.2022 Hello students and families, I hope you all have been safe during this horrible time we have witnessed in the last few months? I can say Western Australia has been doing really well in response to this crisis by social distancing and keeping well hygiene. Thanks to this we are currently under phrase 4 and as you probably all know by now I have resumed my lessons since phrase 2 came in a couple of months by Mr Mark McGowan. Every lesson is back to the way it was before and I’m... glad to be teaching the old and new students once again. I thought I’ll touch base today and show you all the kit your kids or you or even future students will be learning on if you do a lesson at mine. This is my Tama Superstar HyperDrive Sugar White Drum Kit I use on stage when I gig with Antidote and I’m happy to use it in my lessons too as it’s a great kit to make some noise with! I’m sure students in the past and present have loved banging on it and making wonderful music with it. Future students make a lesson today if you ever want to test it out and learn a really cool instrument as 2020 might of started off bad for you but you can make it up and end the year by learning something incredible! 13.01.2022 Hello everyone, Sorry for the notice but due to the recent announcements surrounding the virus, I'll be cancelling all lessons this week and postponing the business for sometime til this crisis dies down. I'll be in touch when it comes to that day and I pray I’ll be able to open soon, ready to book 1 on 1 lessons again as I enjoy teaching the magic of drums to all of you. I'm sorry to drop this on you all of a suddenly as I was looking forward to continue this for a while b...ut I have to protect my health and those around me including you and your family because that matters most to me. Like I covered before, I’ll be putting up another post hopefully soon when I can continue these lessons for you all to enjoy but til then I wish you all the best and remember to wash your hands and keep safe! 04.01.2022 Wow what a crazy 10 months it has been and the year is still not over! Lucky our premier, Mr Mark McGowan came in to action and saved the state from having not only a deadly outbreak but a second wave. Thanks to this, we can go out again and witness bands like we did before COVID 19 came to Western Australia.Now most of you probably know by now, I’m the drummer in the Glam Rock band, Antidote and I have some exciting news to announce to do with them. We have secured a spo...t to play in the Battle of the Bands at The Camfield on the 15th of October. The best thing about this is it’s free entry and even better the kids can come along too. The kids finally get the chance to watch the drum teacher make a fool out of himself I’ve always had parents ask me when is the next all ages gig we can go too? and now I finally have your answer. It’s at 7:15pm which is nice and early for the kids as I know it’s the first week back at school, so you can get them home early and ready for bed right on time. Now here is the mission for you all. We need as many families I can get to the battle, so the band receives the most votes on the night from you guys and girls. This is how you can cast a vote on the night, buy a drink and you will receive a token to vote for the band. In saying that, every drink purchased on the night, $1 will go into the cash prize which will be announced at the grand final but to get to that stage, we have to win by the votes on the night of the battle. This is going to be a fun night and I would love for you all to be there and watch me put a smile on your children’s faces. 01.01.2022 Hello everyone, I bring good news to you all on this lovely Monday afternoon Due to the announcement of our premier, Mr Mark McGowan yesterday and the lower cases we have had in the past few days, I have decided to re-open the business and continue with the lessons. I am very happy with this news and I can’t wait to teach you all again. Although cases are still low and I hope it stays that way, I’m still going to continue with washing my hands before and after lessons as ...well as hand sanitizer during these lessons. I’ll also continue with a safe distance around students. Not only do I want to keep myself safe but those around me as well and I reckon you will do the same as well. Like I said before I’m very happy with this announcement and I can’t wait to continue teaching you all. Stay safe everyone and I’ll see you on the kit soon
