This study talks about de-stressing with mindfulness, therapy EMDR etc but the other important ingredient is learning how to create healthy life choices that minimise stressful situations and create healthy boundaries that promote self value. Learning to love ourselves after an abusive childhood doesn't come naturally, it needs lots if support and conscious relearning.
