24.01.2022 A deaf hunter gathers no food! Hearing protection fit out with Greg Murray at Hear ProTech today.

23.01.2022 Hi folks. Duck open season hunting permits are now available at https://myportal.environment.sa.gov.au/. When applying on this system, WIT numbers need to be eight digits long. If you have a six digit WIT number, please add ‘00’ before the six digits. For example, if your WIT number is 123456, please make it 00123456.

21.01.2022 Please Share Widely BlazeAid camps throughout NSW, East Gippsland ( Vic) and Kangaroo Island NSW desperately need the loan of 4 WD wagons or sedans that can he...lp transport the long term blazeaiders from camp to burnt out properties from the Jan Mega fires to help out farmers rebuild the destroyed fences to keep cows off roads and thus grow our food and fibre. BlazeAid rebuilding after the fires is recognised as essential work by all Govts and Police and if you are pulled up while authorised transporting to a BlazeAid as in this situation. BlazeAid camps operate in a strict Covid 19 free isolated ‘bubble’ for the last 4 weeks and will continue to operate under strict BlazeAid and Govt Health laws. The loan vehicles would need to be a minimum of one month but preferably for 3 months or more as many camps will continue helping farmers well into the Spring 2020. The loaned vehicle would need to be comprehensively insured ( paid by you or BlazeAid) and registered and roadworthy with evidence of a recent service. Year of Manufacture could be 2000 onwards and be a Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai etc as long as it is reliable BlazeAid currently has about ten loaned vehicles but needs triple this number. BlazeAid would pay for a service and clean at the end of the loan agreement and pay for any damages - several photos need to be taken first. BlazeAid would: refund your fuel expenses to get your 4 WD to a base camp and return if needed by you ask that you actually drive your 4 WD to the base and have a friend ( prearranged)drive you directly back home ask -as a prerequisite when it comes in - that you download and show evidence of the Fed Govt Coronavirus Tracing App and drive directly to the base camp stopping only for food and fuel with recommended hand washing with soapy water before you get back into your refuelled vehicle ( I prefer you to wear gloves and fixed untouched face mask as well as I do at truck stops) that once organised that you register your trip with BlazeAids Covid 19 leader Natalee Trigwell of Willawarren NSW who will go through procedure with you ( drive direct there- time of departure etc recorded) Almost every base camp needs a loaned 4 WD and these camp locations can be found by googling ‘blazeaid current camps’ and choose your camp to loan to Many like Parndana ( Kangaroo Island ) , Wulgulmerang Bruthen, ( East Gippsland) , Towamba , Cobargo, Milton, Wingham, Willawarren ( NSW ) are incredibly desperate with double trips daily to get vols out needed. We would prefer enough 4 WD s so that the same crew travels out daily in your 4 WD with the same driver each day Many Thanks Kevin Butler (BlazeAid President) 0418530471 [email protected] (BlazeAid Co Founder alongside my wife Rhonda) Go to blazeaid.com for all the info and ‘like’ blazeaid on Facebook to keep up with all the news

21.01.2022 It’s a bigger commitment than a quick jaunt down to the local shops for an easy steak, that’s for sure, And the final product the reason for the hunt the meal, it’s never out of reach for the everyday Joe." #WildHarvest #CamoIsTheNewGreen http://tinyurl.com/uvc23b5

20.01.2022 With 4 weekends left for this year’s duck open season we ask all hunters to fill out the 2020 Hunter Report Cards. We have been monitoring the recent rains up north and anticipate a good breeding season will occur in 2020-21. The information you provide in the report cards allows us to advocate for you in the 2021 season setting process. Please return your completed report cards to CHASA by 17 September 2020. Report cards are on our website at http://www.chasa.org.au/modern/duck-and-quail-open-seasons/

19.01.2022 2020 SA duck season to go ahead. To all South Australian duck hunters: Following discussion with the Director of National Parks in South Australia today, DEW has consulted with the SA Health Department, and they can now confirm that:... There is no intention to close the 2020 Duck Season The SA border closure must be respected Social distancing is vital when hunting and this is recognised as natural in managed hunting It is important that car travelers travel to and from hunting locations in small numbers It is recognised that keeping national parks open during this time is a vital part of our mental wellbeing. DEW does not intend to change this approach, however, the advice of the Public Health Officer will always be respected and implemented. Please enjoy a safe and rewarding duck hunting season in nature’s supermarket.

18.01.2022 Please Share Widely NOW Post and Wire Help for Deserving, Needy, Appreciative, Grateful, Community involved farmers who are there on their fence lines working ...with blazeaiders now and in the duration of the blazeaid base camp near you There are now thousands of farmers from Kangaroo Island to the Queensland border who we want to help out with materials. This is how you get the help: Phone your blazeaid coordinator and ask for SOME of what you need to get your fence up ( posts and wire MUST be installed immediately and recorded as you having received the in kind help on the Farmers inkind running sheet attached to the back of your registration) You could say it like this: ‘Hi Coordinator Bill I’m fencing up on the hill with a bunch of your vols. Would it be ok if I could have xxxx (say 250) Waratah steel posts or say 4 coils of Waratah 2.5 mm plain wire or 3 gates or 3 Waratah strainer assemblies etc for now? Please’ Farmers can pick up at the blazeaid base where we have a stockpile for you to take out of ( you must sign off for proper governance) OR ( by arrangement/ approval by the Coordinator) Pick up Direct from your usual local rural materials supplier ( landmark CRT Elders etc ) where BlazeAid has an account already set up OR BlazeAid volunteers can bring the posts etc to you as they work with you on your farm fence line The problem I have is that almost every farmer says ‘ help Bill Smith my good neighbour down the road first as he is worse off than me! ‘ Well Kevin Butler has never found very many Bill Smith’s !!!! Farmers, you need to be proactive on getting help here- All Australia wants to support you - please swallow your pride, accept the wonderful kindness of others and in a few years when someone else is burnt out, pay it forward by giving us a few days help Many Thanks Kevin Butler (BlazeAid President) 0418530471 [email protected] (BlazeAid Co Founder alongside my wife Rhonda) Go to blazeaid.com for all the info and ‘like’ blazeaid on Facebook to keep up with all the news
