20.01.2022 What a Fantastic Concert! 'From Abbey Road to Empire', the Beatles Tribute Concert at the Empire Theatre on Sunday. TCS Contemporary Choral loved singing with so many varied artists, for such a worthy cause. All proceeds went to Breastscreen Toowoomba.

15.01.2022 TCS Contemporary held their 'And All That Jazz' Concert on Saturday 16 March in Choral Hall. Our special guests were the JEDDY (Jazz Education for Darling Downs Youth) Big Band, conducted by Paul Edwards. Featured soloists were Cameron McConville (voice/keys) and Rachel Peake (alto sax). The performers and capacity audience all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We congratulate Anne Gralow and Mary Quade on their Life Membership of the Toowoomba Choral Society, which was presented at the concert.

02.01.2022 Urgent message from the President Dear Members and friends, It is with regret that, due to the rapidly changing situation associated with COVID-19, Toowoomba Ch...oral Society Management Committee has decided to postpone the Choral Showcase concert. Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our members, audience, musicians, volunteers and our wider community and, while we are naturally disappointed, we feel that postponing to a later date it a wise precaution. At last night's Management Committee meeting we also voted unanimously that * Starting immediately all Toowoomba Choral Society Choirs will suspend rehearsals until further notice. * Toowoomba Choral Society Choirs will NOT be attending the Qld Eisteddfod at Easter. As you will appreciate, we have not taken this decision lightly, but in view of the continuing spread of the COVID -19 and the increasing risk of widespread infection, we consider that this action is warranted. The health and well-being of our membership must be our first priority in the current circumstances. We fully appreciate that there may be some criticism of the decision to suspend rehearsals at such short notice. But we can only reiterate that our decision is to safeguard the health and well-being of our membership. The Committee will continue to update members in the weeks ahead, and rehearsals will resume when it is appropriate and safe for our members to do so. We will inform members of the resumption of rehearsals in a timely manner. To assist with the wider containment of COVID-19, it is important for all of us to continue to adhere to proper hygiene practises, such as: Wash hands regularly with soap and water, particularly before and after eating and after going to the toilet; Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap is unavailable; Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow; and Dispose of tissues in the bin immediately.
