25.01.2022 Assembling 10 of, 2U rack mount chassis (front panels shown here) for DC Distribution for the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. These panels can work stand-alone, or if your budget allows, in a full case, that we also can also supply.

24.01.2022 Another really useful tool I purchased recently, an automatic heatshrink cutter. No longer am I cutting hundreds/thousands of pieces of heatshrink by hand. A real time saver and cut much more straight and accurate than I could ever do.

24.01.2022 DC Distribution rack mount panels. An order of 10 units fulfilled for a repeat customer . My own design and designed to distribute DC loads to communication equipment.

22.01.2022 Do you want to keep your design safe from competitors or scrupulous engineers reverse engineering your hard work or do you have a patent you are trying to protect? We have a few deterrent methods available, we can work with PCBs with no silk screen, sand off identifying part numbers off components and/or incase sections of a PCB with a special black epoxy designed to work on PCBs. We're also more than happy to sign your NDA if need be.

20.01.2022 Another one of my tools that is perfect for cutting the leads on bulky components. This airtool can cut through thick leads and saves the user from having to cut these by hand

18.01.2022 More custom printed heatshrink lables for an upcoming cable harness job.

15.01.2022 Whole heap of rack mount DC Distribution units ready to go!

13.01.2022 This electric automatic wire cutting and stripping machine increases my production speed immensely. When once I used to cut and strip these by hand, this machine is about 10x faster! A great tool and addition to my production line.

13.01.2022 A small part of a larger project, these Adam 6050 are setup for remote monitoring. To be installed in a rack mount system for a client in Perth responsible for TV broadcasts around Australia

10.01.2022 A personal project Ive been working on, a automated christmas lights controller. Finally in its finished state, Ive been workong on this a couple of hours a night for the last month. As well as bringing joy to the local area, Convergenve Electronic Suppprt will be raising money for Alzheimer's Research Foundation with this project, starting 1st of December.

10.01.2022 PCBs being cleaned in a ultrasonic cleaner, using Electrolube Safewash solution. This process removes all oils, fluxes, grease and any other contamination that collects on the PCB surface during assembly. Once they have been submitted to a 10 minute cycle, theyll be rinsed with 50c distilled water and plaved in an oven to bake the water off. Resulting in a very clean and sterile PCB

08.01.2022 Having a job organized and following procedures is key to a well assembled job and keeping it within a profitable timeline. Here we have a series of sub-assemblies completed that took 2 days to complete, with final assembly only taking half a day.

08.01.2022 What you don't see is the 30 other boxes of MOVs that needed to be cut! A pneumatic cutter certainly saves your hands!

06.01.2022 New cutting machine added to the business. Adding a new level of efficiently and quality

05.01.2022 During October through to November I assembled a Christmas Lights controller that was able to be programmed to enable exciting light shows. I used a Silicone Chip master controller accompanied with 4 slaves. The controller had it's challenges being built, namely firmware bugs that I had to find work-rounds. But eventually got it going, the results I think were pretty impressive! If you haven't seen a the video of one of the songs programmed, I'll put a link in the comments below. The controller got a bit of interest by Altronics, who were interested to see what I could do with these controllers, going by what they had seen, no one had attempted something like this before. Anyway, in the February issue of Silicone Chip magazine, the controller got a 1/4 page write up.

05.01.2022 Don't get alot of opportunities to work on easy to manufacturer thru-hole PCBs anymore! In a world dominated with SMT, sometimes it nice to get back to the old stuff!

05.01.2022 Yes I see you there solder bridge! Reworking and repairing PCBs certainly isnt glamorous, but renewing/upgrading and repairing PCBs is part and parcel of what happens here.

04.01.2022 This pneumatic cutter with foot pedal, is a hand saver when you need to cut 800 Metal Oxide Varistors, which have wide and thick legs. The excess copper is also saved and recycled.

03.01.2022 Reworking these rather large PCBs today. The job consists of removing 34 resistors and varied semi- conductors. After the components have been removed, next step is to remove the solder and clean the pads before loading on the new components. Below are the tools needed for the job, Metcal PCB posts, Metcal hot air pencil, Metcal pre-heater, JBC soldering iron, Metcal solder paste dispenser, solders, fluxes and an assortment of hand tools. The job is very complex using very small components. 100 PCBs to do and so far going well.

01.01.2022 A small job completed for the Public Transport Authority. I supplied all the materials and blank PCBs. This job had a requirement for conformal coating, meeting the standards of EN50155. Acrylic was used, Its ability to be reworked on, with minimum mess makes it the best choice for this project. It also had the added complexity of relays which are not hermetically sealed and a mechanical switch , so had to be hand soldered in after the conformal coating had dried.

01.01.2022 We recently reversed engineered an old thru-hole PCB into a SMD PCB. Here is the PCB being populated on our pick n place machine.
