24.01.2022 42 cm one eyed bream caught and released by Mark. Well done mate. Returned to the breeding stock. That fish is between 35-40 years old. Please return all bream of 30 cm and above and you will help establish our fishing stock.

22.01.2022 Now that the rules have been relaxed here are a few photos to get you fishing again.

22.01.2022 Hi fellow fisher persons. Due to the Corona Virus I will not be posting on the page until all this settles down. You can make your own decision if you think it’s a risk to you or others to go fishing. There are people who are really worried of the risks and desire that everyone stays indoors. But there are others who believe that it’s fine to be outdoors without interacting with people. I thought you hunter gathers would enjoy this photo. Laughter is a great medicine

21.01.2022 The sweerlip are back now that the water temperature has increased to 18 degrees C.

15.01.2022 Whiting were on the bite today. I caught a 33 cm winter whiting. Biggest I have ever caught.

15.01.2022 I caught the biggest catfish this morning. Over a meter long and fat. Took me for a ride until it tired. Good practice in landing technique for when I get that monster snapper.

15.01.2022 The water has cooled down to 23 decrees so it’s time to focus on catching snapper. I got a 48 cm one yesterday morning.

14.01.2022 Got any fishing photos you would like to see published in the Redlands City Bulletin? Please contact me. Caught any good fish? Share your story. https://www.redlandcitybulletin.com.au//what-a-catch-45-/

13.01.2022 Opening of the snapper fishery today. Share you fishing story and photos. My friend Gavin paddled over from the mainland to fish with us. He managed to catch a nice flathead. I did not get a bite. Water temperature was a cool 13 degrees C to start off in the shallows and 17 degree C deeper out. Where have the snapper gone?

13.01.2022 That’s me fishing with my granddaughter. If you have a photo and fishing story of your child or grandchild that you would like to see in the fishing column of the Redlands City Bulletin please PM me the details and photo. I can submit it to the paper and they may publish the photo. If you get a copy of the past couple of weeks of the RB paper you will see fishing stories and photo of the children featured. Cheers and happy fishing.

05.01.2022 Two mulloway caught on opposite sides of the world within a week of each other. One caught on Moreton Bay and the other from my home City Port Elizabeth. This time of the year is a great time to target them. Live bait is the best bait to use.

04.01.2022 The tailor fishing season has arrived. A video to help you catch a few. https://youtu.be/23IeIjFykNQ

01.01.2022 I broke my tailor drought and caught a bonus flathead. Gave the tailor to my friend and we had fish and chips within an hour of catching the fish. It does not get any fresher than this.
