23.01.2022 CooeeGC is a flexible learning environment for senior students who do not wish to obtain their ATAR. Year 11 and 12 students complete core subjects (English, Ma...ths and Recreation) for their Queensland Certificate of Education and then their elective subjects will take place in the form of Certificate-based courses. The courses are chosen out of student interest, to create a meaningful learning experience that is relevant to the individual, and provide a clear stepping-stone into future learning. Students who wish to attend university will have the option to complete a Diploma of Business, which has potential to shave time off their university degree. Similar for students who take part in pre apprenticeship courses, their recognition for prior learning is sort after. Upon completion of CooeeGC students are better prepared for their chosen pathway, be it the work force, a trade, TAFE or University. Surfing culture plays a key role in the development of these young people, as it is a healthy opportunity to connect with the environment and community, away from their busy technology influenced lives. Students at CooeeGC, actively create opportunities to better themselves and their community. They become well-rounded citizens who can confidently walk out of the school gates, equipped with the necessary tools to succeed in life. A student at CooeeGC strives to be a standout citizen and surfer. For more information, please visit our Cooee webpage. https://elanorashs.eq.edu.au//excellence-p/cooeegc-program
