15.01.2022 So this week is the ORIGINAL Superheros week and as we have still been operating as normal we will still be participating as a hub. So please join Marrang 4year old, Marrang 3year old and the Marrang Long Day Care in celebrating this great cause for Muscular Dystrophy by dressing up on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th as either your favourite superhero or one you have created yourself. We understand the current situation with covid and certainly don't expect any donations at t...his time. We can't wait to see how creative you all get Hope you've enjoyed the sunny weekend

15.01.2022 Marrang 4 year old Kindergarten educators were hard at work today. Setting up the indoor environment and adding some new logs in our meeting space outside. We were really excited to find that we have two newly hatched budgies in the nesting box. They are the size of a jelly bean and have no feathers yet. We have set up a supermarket, restaurant kitchen and restaurant dining space inside. Food for the restaurant will need to be purchased from the supermarket. Some photos of the supermarket and restaurant are provided. We look forward to having everyone back this week. See you then

13.01.2022 Showing ability to care for our environment planting the tree which Jack’s family has donated. Jack research which trees the birds would like and helped pick the tree. Working as a group using verbal and nonverbal communication skills to share ideas and take turns to dig, put compost in, return soil, pat it down and water in. Emila was able to tell us about pulling the roots out a bit and why we do that. The group are able to use their past sand pit digging and water pump play and transferring that to use shovels to aid in planting the tree.

Some of the unexpected places the children found metal includes their clothing and hair accessories. We also found that there really is precious metal in the gold panning tray.

07.01.2022 On Wednesday the 11th of November we recognised Remembrance Day. At 11am we sat around a mandala made of cuttings on the carpet with a candle flickering. There were three poppies as well. A bugle played the Last Post (from the IPad) and Kathryn read the poem They shall not grow old. We talked about what Remembrance Day means and Wendy shared her dad’s story about his time in the Navy.
