23.01.2022 Here are some photos from last week's camp. More to come tomorrow!

21.01.2022 Our last P&C Meeting for the 2020 school year will be held tomorrow night (Tuesday 1st December). Please note that the start time will be 7pm (not 6.30pm as previously advertised - sorry for the mistake!). All parents welcome, in the library :)

19.01.2022 Our campers are on their way home!

16.01.2022 It was hot today, wasn't it?! This weather is predicted for the rest of the week. Please make sure that your child has their hat and water bottle at school. We also recommend applying sunscreen before school (you can even add a bottle to their school bag and encourage them to reapply). Teachers will also have classrooms open during lunch time for students to escape the heat!

15.01.2022 This week is our last full week of the 2020 school year (remember, the last day of school for this year is Wednesday 9 December). Aussies of the Month will be distributed on assembly this week and we invite the parents of this month's recipients to attend (names published in last week's newsletter). Our last P&C Meeting for the year will be held on Tuesday and our Year 6 students have their high school transition days. Lots of things happening this week at Coolabunia!

14.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to staff illness, we have to postpone the Prep Transition Visit organised for this morning. Our second transition visit will now occur next Monday, same time. We really do apologise for any inconvenience.

14.01.2022 This Thursday we have our very first and one-off Inter-house Ball Games Competition! Our staff have organised this event as, unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions our local small schools have not been able to come together for their usual interschool carnivals. All of our students have been placed into either the Green Team or the Gold Team and they have been practicing their war cries and their ball game skills. Now it is time to battle it out and see who is the champi...on house! Students can come to school in house colours but there is no pressure - it is purely a fun morning! They might want some green/gold ribbons in their hair, green/gold zinc on their face and a green/gold shirt but it is not essential. We do ask that all students are in sun safe clothing, have their hat and remember to apply some sunscreen before they leave home in the morning. We also ask that if they do come dressed in their house colours, that a school shirt is put in their bag to change into afterwards. We are looking forward to a great morning! 13.01.2022 Our mangoes are arriving early!!! Due to availability, our mango trays have been collected from market early and will be available for collection TOMORROW (Tuesday 17 November) from approximately 2:30pm in the tennis court. In order to comply with COVID regulations during collection, we ask that you enter through the tennis court gate facing the school and exit through the opposite gate that faces the neighbouring farm. Please maintain social distancing at all times. The two double gates will be open for you to enter and exit the school grounds rather than use the main entrance. Thank you!

07.01.2022 A huge shout out to all of our students who donated a gold coin for our Book Week free dress! This little contribution will help support the reading of children in remote Australia - very proud

05.01.2022 Today our students completed an evacuation drill and they did a smashing job! We will also complete a lockdown drill during this week. The time of the drill will not be announced in order to make it as authentic as possible.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Ball Game Stars! What a great morning for students - in a year where everything has been cancelled, it was wonderful to hold this event and see such spirit and enthusiasm! Green House were our overall winners and Gold House took out the spirit award!
