23.01.2022 Active Play Gross motor skills involve the larger muscles in the arms, legs and torso. A variety of activities support the development of these skills including tummy time, crawling, walking, running and climbing. Even standing at an easel painting assists in the development of these muscles! This morning the children helped set up an obstacle course in the yard and took turns completing each stage ~ they encouraged each other, waited for their turn and took some risks in play.
