24.01.2022 Happy International Women's Day to all the amazing women in our Kinder Kare Community

22.01.2022 The children have been busy this week creating beautiful gifts to express their love and gratitude for their amazing Mums, Grandmas and other influential Women in their lives and our Kinder Kare community

21.01.2022 We were fortunate to have Brock Tutt from Young Australia Workshop visit and share his Aboriginal history and culture with us last week. The children were excited to have the opportunity to learn about and engage with Aboriginal dance and costume. Brock also shared the history of the didgeridoo and we learnt it's traditional name, Yidaki from Arnhem land. These experiences enhance the children understanding of our diverse community and exposure to various traditions assists in their knowledge of the world around them.

20.01.2022 Ramadan Mubarak to our Kinder Kare family and friends

19.01.2022 Emotional competence or how children learn to express and control those emotions and recognize the emotions of others is an important predictor of all sorts of positive outcomes for children, including starting and maintaining positive social relationships, and even academic performance (Denham, 2019). One of the key predictors of emotional competence happens to be something that parents can do at home, which is to talk about emotions with their kids. Emotion talks predict children’s later emotional understanding and their ability to regulate emotional responses (Denham, 2019). https://www.psychologytoday.com//encouraging-kids-talk-abo

18.01.2022 In the lead up to World Homeless Day yesterday, the families and staff at Kinder Kare really came together to contribute lots of useful products for people in need! We collected long life foods, drinks, first aid and hygiene products. Next week Miss Nicole will take a few preschool children with her to distribute our goodies to a few organisations around the area.

14.01.2022 We are very thankful to Campbelltown Council for funding a free sustainability workshop for our centre. Dianne from Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living came to visit us last Wednesday. Dianne helped us with our compost and worm farm, she taught us all the do's and don't's to maintain and keep our compost and worm farm thriving. The children enjoyed having the opportunity to be hands on throughout this workshop, the educators even learnt a few things along the way! We look forward to continuing to build upon our sustainable practices across the centre.

14.01.2022 During these tough times it's so important to stay connected

07.01.2022 In the Rainbow Room, the children are active in sustainable practices.

06.01.2022 An important part of our centre philosophy & curriculum is our engagement within the local community. Last week the children attending vacation care had the opportunity to participate in the 'Kids On Congas' excursion at Glenquarie Library, a high energy interactive drumming experience and a fun bowling day at City Bowl in Leumeah. If you are looking for an exciting Before & After school care or Vacation care for your child in 2020 give us a call today on 96187500, we would be more than happy to help.

05.01.2022 At Kinder Kare, we encourage and enforce sustainable practices in all age groups and in many different ways! This week, our baby room got to play and experiment with dry and wet soil. The toddlers and preschool children tended to their vegetable patch with water from the recycled water tank while educators monitored water usage to promote conservation. They were amazed that the vegetables are growing from the water!, and it’s so exciting to see them comprehend the impact of our actions on the environment. We go creative at arts and crafts time and made collages with old newspapers to decorate our walls! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

03.01.2022 Friday October 25th we will be commemorating Daniel Morcombe and raising awareness for child safety! Wear RED and bring a gold coin donation!

02.01.2022 CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY 2020 Today the children participated in Clean Up Australia Day for schools. It was wonderful to see how enthusiastic the children were as they went in search of rubbish to clean up our natural environment within our centre and the local community. The educators conducted some research through their curriculum with the children in the lead up to today's event, the children learnt why it's so important to keep our environment clean and why we must place our rubbish in the bin at all times.

01.01.2022 Dear Families, Please see the current public health advice in our surrounding areas.
