25.01.2022 ***** 2021 Re-signings Commence **** The Coolangatta Football Club is pleased to announce that players are keen to re-sign for season 2021, with two major signings taking place over the last few days. 2020 Captain, Scotty Riordan and Midfield machine, Trey Westbury, have both agreed to terms for next season.... Both players are keen as mustard to put pen to paper and have great expectations that the Club will improve on season 2020. Welcome back boys!!

23.01.2022 **** New Senior Coach for Season 2021 ***** Coolangatta Tweed Heads is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Ashenden ("Asho") as our Senior Club Coach for Season 2021. "Asho" comes to Cooly with a wealth of coaching experience as both a school sports coach at a local Sports Excellence School, specialising in AFL as well as coaching senior AFL football within Southern Queensland.... Asho has spent the past five season at Kenmore Bears in our own Div 2 Competition with appearances in finals in every season across both the senior and reserve grades, finishing up with Division 2 premierships for both Kenmore Senior and Reserve Grade men for season 2020. Thank you to the Gold Coast City Council, who have now completed the new and updated lease agreement for the Football Club to enable the Facilities Build to commence.... This new Lease has been signed and now lodged back with Council. It is expected that Owner's Consent will be issued in the next few days to enable the Council to process our Application to build these long awaited facilities! Stay Tuned!

07.01.2022 ***** Colts Coach Appointed ******** Coolangatta Football Club has the honour to announce the appointment of our Colts Coach for 2021: Kane Hall... "Kano" is a legend within our Club and was an assistant to our 2018 Colts Team. Kano has most recently being plying his coaching credentials with our own Junior Club, Tweed Coolangatta Junior AFL Club as the under 16s coach. Kano is bringing these boys up to senior football for 2021. Welcome back Kano!

04.01.2022 ***** Football Manager and PLayer Welfare Officer Appointed ***** The Club is pleased to announce that Craig Salisbury has agreed to assist the Coolangatta Football Club by taking on the dual roles of Football Manager and Player Welfare Officer for season 2021. "Sangas" will carry on the role of Football Manager taking over from Nigel Ellis who filled this role between 2018 and 2020, who will now be able to focus on his role as Vice President. ... Sangas will also become our club's first Player Welfare Officer for season 2021. This new role will provide our players in the Mens, Womens and Colts space with someone to discuss issues with. Sangas will be independent of the Management Committee and has vowed to be a strong, vocal advocate for the playing group either as an individual or from a team perspective more generally with the Coaching staff and the Management Committee. Thank you for taking on these roles Craig!
