20.01.2022 ** A simple act of kindness can brighten someones day ** This week we have had lots of excitement in the Seahorse room brought to us from a member in our local community. On Friday we were super excited to find our first decorated rock hidden on our door step to the centre. All the children were very curious as to how the rock got to the door step and who put it there. ... Today we got another rock left for the children to find! with some investigating done by the educators in the room we found the NSW ROCK Facebook page. It was great to see so much kindness, compassion and positivity being spread around through these rocks. Keep an eye out !! The Seahorse room children will be hiding some rocks of there own soon. NSW ROCKS

18.01.2022 Living Safely with Dogs talk Today the children were very excited to meet Vick and Montana from the Responsible Pet Ownership Education Program. They came for a little visit to Coolgardie to talk to the children about dog safety and when and how they should approach a dog in the community. All the children at Coolgardie love watching the dogs walk past the preschool and often want to have a pat. So this talk was great at letting the children know when is an appropri...ate time to pat a dog eg: when owers are there and that they should always ask permission first. Lots of the children put these rules into play when asking Vick for permission to give Montana and pat. Thank you Vick and Montana for spending sometime with the children today. 11.01.2022 ~Red Nose Day~ We all had so much fun today raising awareness and raising money for Red Nose Day through our Little Rockers Red Nose Day Disco. Red Nose Day raises awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The money raised, funds research, education and helps ensure the Red Nose Support network is always available to families in need. ... Thank you to all our families and children for all your support today.

01.01.2022 ** Rainbow Week !** This past week the children have been celebrating rainbow week. All the children were invited to come dressed in rainbow clothes this week to help us celebrate. We had a selection of Chloe Saxby's merchandise for sale for our families and friends to purchase. ... The children learnt about the colours of the rainbow, how to sign different colours in sign language, took part in rainbow and colour mixing science experiments, learnt about Chloe and how we can help her as a community and lots more.
