25.01.2022 I have no idea what is going on here, but it looks interesting.

23.01.2022 Gorry making a new seat for the franna.

22.01.2022 Wayne and Gorry preparing for Coolgardie day.

18.01.2022 Good turnout at the shed today.

18.01.2022 Did a few hours on the Sulzer today. Managed to remove the regulator shaft ( thanks Paul, Internal Fire) and strip off some other bits and pieces. Tried to undo the main bearing housing and bolts on the base plate, but they are all pretty damned tight. So... We have oiled and WD40'd everything. Will go back through the week and hit her some more. Will try next weekend to see if any of the corrosion or dirt has given up. Can't believe how much dirt is in the engine. All the water galleys are packed with red dirt!

16.01.2022 This one is Gorry's project, an SR1 Lister. None of us are allowed to play with it on pain of... something very horrible and maybe painful.

15.01.2022 Gotta love that diff.

15.01.2022 Wayne doing a bit of spray painting. Frame he is working on is for a portable temporary fuel tank. Wayne had a great idea to use this for various reason. Good idea.

15.01.2022 Today, removed the air start from the main casing. Many of the pins were corroded into place which has slowed us down a bit. Hit her up with CRC and silicon spray to rest for the week.

13.01.2022 Gorry and Wayne have placed this DK Lister on a transport trolley, and prettied up the water tank, for display on Coolgardie Day in September. Nice work guys.

12.01.2022 We have this little Lister that is connected to an old lathe. It is missing a Magneto, which we can replace, but is also missing a Carbie, which we don't have. If anyone has any advice or spares, we are all ears.

11.01.2022 This is the first engine we restored to running as the Men's Shed. It's a Listeroid Metex, and is an absolutely awesome little monster that's loves a walk. Gorry and Wayne, the welding and trolley experts, are making her a new tank. It's amazing how this works. You just come in on a weekend and, voila, completed engine!

11.01.2022 Getting the Leyland running for Coolgardie Day. First time running for 12 months. Nice work Harry.

09.01.2022 Old bakers cart waiting for some TLC. Wish we had someone interested in carpentry. This would be a doozy. No, the automotive grill does not go there.

09.01.2022 AGM tomorrow. 10am. Look forward to seeing old and new members.

09.01.2022 Wayne and Gorry have been finishing off some of the engines, in preparation for Coolgardie Day. Nice work guys.

06.01.2022 BURIED TREASURE: Wouldn't it be great if you were cleaning out your shed and you found a big gold nugget Well, that didn't happen at the Coolgardie Men's Sh...ed although president Wayne Bird is holding out hope ... They did however, come across some very old number plates buried underneath the floor of the railway goods shed. Along with all the other of bits and bobs, they hope to turn the place into a working museum. See more

05.01.2022 A few pictures of Wayne's Rolls Royce. He believes this is a runner, and is another project that Wayne is quite firm on, will be running on Coolgardie Day. Look forward to hearing the beast run.

03.01.2022 Managed to lift the top casing off the engine today. Poor old thing.

02.01.2022 Another Wayne and Gorry special. Managed to get the engine running some time back (Banfords), but when the water tank was hooked up, everything leaked. EVERTHING! The guys did their mysterious work, and now she is a charm.
