25.01.2022 You may have noticed a Name Change!!! We have added CK First Aid to our business name as we expand to offer nationally recognised Adult First Aid to our repertoire! In response to COVID-19 we are now able to provide First Aid as an edited online version negating the need to attend an all day class! You enrol into the course, complete an extended online training session and then book in to see us for a 15-30 minute face to face session to complete the practical components with... a maximum of two students per session. This allows adherence to all physical distancing guidelines and allocated space rules. We have also increased our already stringent infection control guidelines. All students will be provided with their own adult, child and infant manikin to utilise for the entire session as well as an individual kit with bandages, Epipen trainers and asthma equipment. Once the assessment has been completed all equipment is completely sanitised and cleaned ready for the next student. With over 15 years experience in the operating suite guiding this infection control guidelines, they will be the highest standards in the industry. So if your workplace has been unable to provide a First Aid provider please give us a call or send an email and we can organise a session for your staff to attain the qualifications they need to continue working. www.ckfirstaid.com

19.01.2022 Hi Guys, You would have seen a LOT of discussion about to wear a face mask or not to wear a face mask! I’m not going to get into a debate wether face masks work or not (as even the CDC and WHO can’t make up their minds!) ... I’m just going to give some advice in regards to how to wear a mask correctly and some of the pitfalls involved. 1. Make sure your mask fits properly!!! See pictures below. You need to ensure that face mask fits tightly on your face across the nose and that the loops are done up tightly at the back. If you can fit a finger between your face and mask at any point it is not fitting correctly! Don’t wear your mask just over your mouth leaving your nose exposed. Also don’t drag your mask down to sit around your neck - it does nothing there except catch bugs!!! Also for best fitting options you should be clean shaven. 2. Depending on what mask you wear will depend on the amount of protection you are afforded. A N95 respirator mask is the highest quality but very difficult to buy now. Another option is surgical masks or cloth masks (there seems to be patterns available everywhere). Once a mask gets damp it is no longer able to be worn. Dispose of the disposable mask or ensure you put your cloth mask in the wash with washing detergent. Best thing is to only wear when outside. Never reuse disposable masks! 3. This is the biggest downfall with wearing masks!! It lets the wearer fall into a false sense of security. Most people are not accustomed to wearing tightly fitting masks (and yes they are uncomfortable!!). People play with and adjust their masks frequently and at the same time transfer any bacteria/germs from their hands onto their face increasing the risk of actually contracting the virus! If you are going to wear a mask ensure you wash your hands frequently, once the mask is in place don’t touch it!!!! When you return home BEFORE removing your mask wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and water and remove by the ties on the mask without touching the front of the mask, dispose and rewash your hands. 4. Just because you are wearing a mask doesn’t mean you can ignore physical distancing rules! People can still cough/breathe/sneeze on your mask and you breathe those particles in through your mask. Stay at least 1.5 meters away from other people. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion. Stay safe and where possible STAY HOME!!!!

01.01.2022 CK First Aid is still assessing necessary first aid requirements under strict COVID-19 safe restrictions with capped class numbers. Extremely high infection control practices and physical distancing available. Please see the review of another happy client Erin! Erin Murphy - Circus Artist... CK first aid were brilliant! The way their course was set up to do all theory work online as pre course material then to only attend for the practical assessment is a smart way to do things. Especially now. Tash was a great presenter, her wealth of knowledge from all experiences was great! I’ve been to a lot of first aid courses but I learnt the most from this one. It was really enjoyable and fun too, usually these Sorts courses are boring and drag on, but Tash kept it fun and engaging and it flew by. Thanks again CK first aid. I’ll definitely be recommending you to everyone If you require your first aid updates for work please click on the following link to our booking calendar https://ckfirstaid.trainingdesk.com.au/enrol Or send us an email to [email protected]
