17.01.2022 Trigger warning On the evening of Thursday the 23rd of July, our much loved friend and work colleague Julian Forbes was found in cardiac arrest. Julian was immediately taken to ICU at SCUH where he was place on life support and a ventilator. On Monday the 27th of July, Julian underwent further testing and unfortunately due to there being severe brain swelling, he was pronounced brain dead. Julian was a gentle soul and had a heart of gold. He was also a registered organ don...or and since his passing, he’s helped save the lives of another 4 individuals. Julian is sorely missed by us all at the clinic. We’ll miss seeing his bright smile and psychedelic cat jumper and hearing about the Port Adelaide football updates. His caring, quirky and compassionate personality will be missed by many, including all the fur babies. Our condolences to his wife and family. A life cut too short. Rest In Peace Julian See more

08.01.2022 Coolum Vet COVID-19 Update Vet clinics have been listed as an essential service which means we’re able to stay in operation to look after your fur babies. We’ve implemented a few precautions within the clinic which we feel is necessary to protect everyone and to stop the spread of COVID-19. These precautions include; Hand sanitiser at the front door which we’re asking everyone to use prior to entering and when leaving the clinic. Adhere to the 1.5m social distancing r...ule. Only one person per animal entering the clinic where possible. Where possible, handing your fur baby to the nurse so the vet can examine and administer treatment. Please stand behind the line when talking to the nurses at the reception desk. Payment method of card instead of cash is preferred. We understand this is a stressful and challenging time for many. The Coolum Vet is listening to the government and adhering to the precautions as recommended. The health and well-being of our clients is of the utmost importance to us.

03.01.2022 Looking for something to do while staying indoors? This is the perfect opportunity for you to play and bond with your fur baby, while also providing them with mental stimulation! With your dogs you can play tug of war, fetch or even hide some food around the house for them to seek out. With your cats you can play with laser pointers or feathers. We’d love to see what you games you get up to so remember to tag us, comment on the post or send us a message
