25.01.2022 Vanessa, Aaron, Matt and Andy from Greater Logan Paddlers Club went down to Coombabah and Saltwater Creeks (northern Gold Coast) for a short Sunday paddle. This was Aaron's 5th paddle, and he and the experienced Vanessa had a go on Andy's new 2nd hand Fenn Swordfish ocean ski - no problems at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=entVcoMKREw

21.01.2022 Matt and Andy did a few downwind runs against the tide in the Broadwater on Sunday morning during a Strong Wind Warning. This was good but careful training for 71 year old Andy learning to balance on his new 45 cm wide Fenn Swordfish ski. So far, so good? ~GrAndy

16.01.2022 Matt and GrAndy started from Paradise Point in calm conditions. Looking for some wave chop for ski training, they went over to South Straddie where the boats are bigger and their bow waves are bigger too. Paddling south against the incoming tide in a fair chop, GrAndy was slow and spent a lot of energy just staying upright. However, they managed 12 km and had a few short sprints in calmer waters near home. As usual GrAndy kept score, and amazingly ended up equal to young Matt, as he was able to award himself double points for the last sprint, and didn't have to resort to disqualifying Matt for any infringements!
