20.01.2022 Good news today with Brigade receiving a free vacuum from the RFSA. Over 800 Brigades applied and there were only have 380 vacuums to be given away so we are very lucky to receive one. Thank you RFSA!

20.01.2022 Headquarters has been busy the last few days helping with grass/crop/stubble fires in the Shire. If you ever wanted to help the Coonamble community and join a great volunteer organisation now is the time. Fire season is our busiest time of the year and we are always looking for new members. 14.01.2022 Hi all, the brigade will be holding a get ready weekend- open day at the brigade station on the 19 September, time TBC. All members are invited. Any ideas, suggestions you have for the day please let us. Support brigade will also be helping in the day.

11.01.2022 Great news today with the brigade being successful in obtaining a grant from the NSW Rural Fire Service & Brigades Donations Fund. We will be able to buy some new equipment to replace our old worn out items. Items approved through the grant include handheld uhf radios, stools, chairs, pressure washer, air compressor and tables.

11.01.2022 Hi all, the brigade is going to apply for a grant for some equipment for the new station, part of the grant process is that the brigade members are consulted in this process. Thank you to those members who have messaged me with suggestions for items. The wish list includes the following; air compressor pressure washer... cordless vacume plastic stackable chairs stools fold up tables kitchen items - plates/cultery etc lockers stationary cupboard handheld UHF radios- 5 watt bench dishwasher We can only apply once for the grant and the maximum amount is $10000- so if you have any other suggestions can you let me know ASAP, if there are no other ideas the grant will be put in for these items. Depending on the cost of the items they will be prioritised in terms of importance. Please get back to me by 1 August if you have any other ideas. Regards Georgie

08.01.2022 This afternoon was the official opening of the Coonamble HQ and North West Support brigade station. A good crowd attended to see the new station opened and a number of long service medals presented to members from across the Coonamble Shire.

06.01.2022 All brigade members are encouraged to complete the code of conduct training. It is being run in Coonamble so it is an ideal opportunity to do the course. Course is on the 19/9 and RSVP’s are required by the 11/9/20. Please note new start time for code of conduct workshop at Coonamble on 19/9 start time 0830
