25.01.2022 KJ loved visiting their houses today and special places around town on their excursion. They will be writing about their excursion over the next week and I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
24.01.2022 AAAAND.... We're Back! After months of patiently waiting, the Youth Centre is now Officially Re-opening!! We will be running activities each week but to start we have the following timetable. Come check us out, bring a friend and let us know what you want to do in the weeks ahead.

23.01.2022 Our Week 10 language classes this week are all about bush tucker. All classes will be tasting bush tucker from Monday to Friday in the Community Room. Today 1O, 1K and 2F got to enjoy the special treats that was on offer. The labels are in Gamilaraay and Yuwaalaraay language. A big thank you to Mrs Lee & Aunty Gloria for all your organisation

23.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I would like to officially inform the friends and families of CPS that I am unable to return to my position in 2021, due to family reasons. I have truly enjoyed my time working with the children, families and staff at the school and wish everyone tons of happiness and a Merry Christmas. 20.01.2022 Ryan & Eli were awarded The NSW Teachers Federation Primary Scholarship, which will support them through their school years. There were only 4 students awarded these scholarships in the state and we are lucky enough to have two of them from CPS. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the normal awards ceremony was unable to take place but we celebrated their achievement at assembly today. Congratulations boys. We are super proud

14.01.2022 A message from Aunty Gloria: Today was officially my last day at CPS. I loved every moment of my time working with such wonderful and dedicated staff. Aww I'm going to miss the students so much - I just loved all my little cherubs they became like my own family. Farewell to Aunty Gloria who is retiring from CPS. Thankyou for always ensuring Aborginal culture is embedded into CPS life and always going above and beyond for our students. You will be missed!

09.01.2022 KJ had a surprise letter in their room after lunch today. Santa had stopped by and had left them some clues to find their class elf. We went all around the school, solving the clues and eventually found our elf hiding in the Maliyan Room chicken coop. We can’t wait to see what sort of things our elf gets up to

06.01.2022 So much fun in Kinder yesterday learning all about bees . We practiced our directions in maths and made our Beebots communicate by doing waggle dances before getting a bees eye view of life in a hive using our VR kits.

05.01.2022 Our Swimming Carnival is on tomorrow for students in Years 1-6. Students are to arrive at the pool at 9am. Infants will leave at 11am. Primary will return to school at the end of the day. Parents can attend but are not to be seated in the grandstand. Please send your child’s filled out note with them to the pool if it has not already been returned. ... Kindergarten attend school as normal.

03.01.2022 CPS Koala Fundraiser Winner will be announced on Friday 25th at assembly. Guesses can be done during recess and lunch.... The money raised will be to pay for the adoption of 1 or more koalas from Port Macquarie Koala Hospital that were injured in the bushfires. Jar is not included in the winnings Well done to K-6R for organising!!!
