20.01.2022 Well here it is- the launch of the Coopernook Community Street Library. Thank you to Kit Hardy who wrote a submission at the beginning of this year for a street library grant. He was successful in his bid and we were granted this amazing opportunity to share the love of books and reading. What better time than book week to launch it! How does it work- Come along, everyone, anytime to the street library located in the garden on the corner of Macquarie st and George Gibson Dri...ve. Have a look and see if there is a book you would like to read. If there is- take it, read it, and then pass it on to a friend, keep it or return it to the street library- it is your choice. It is all FREE, no charges, no need to register and open to everyone who lives in, visits, or passes through our Coopernook community. The Street Library will be monitored by staff and students of our local Coopernook Public School to ensure it always has a selection of books that are appropriate for all ages and interests. If you have a book at home that you have read and finished with please feel free to leave it in the Street Library one day when you are visiting and there is room, that way books can be shared, loved and enjoyed by more people.
