15.01.2022 On our journey to self-mastery and higher consciousness, there's so many things that we get to experience and learn. . After we've been on the path for a ...while, it can be really daunting when something that you felt you've dealt with is in your face again. . I think one of the most overwhelming topics for a lot of people is self-worth, feelings of self-esteem, feeling not good enough. . Usually this is something that people try and work on pretty early on the journey and with varying degrees of success. . As time goes by and our spiritual journey takes other directions. We might get interested in transcendental work, in Eastern spirituality, Western spirituality or all kinds of amazing things that we get to look at and learn from and that help us to develop. . And then whack, along comes another whole bout of 'I'm not good enough', 'I'm not worthy', that you didn't see it coming. . You can take the view 'oh I haven't learnt anything', but that's a pretty self-defeating egoic kind of response. . Instead, it helps to understand that as consciousness evolves and expands, it does so in spirals, and you've just gone round and round a big loop, and you've come back to this place again. Where you encounter a core wound that your soul wanted to come in in this incarnation to deal with. And it wants to master it! . It doesn’t want you to be someone who's gets a pass grade, it wants to get a credit, a distinction or a high distinction. . So the journey will evolve, and of course the universe being very clever will utilise whatever's going on in our life as the classroom. . The problem is not in the way of your spiritual journey. The problem is the spiritual journey. . It's the thing that will create in us more growth, more evolution, a change in consciousness, that we don't just stay the same person who knows more stuff, but we actually transform. . We become quite different to how we used to be. . Sometimes these little cracks are like inclusions in a crystal. I have a lovely collection of crystals. I love clear quartz. I love the beautiful rainbows and the gorgeous things that are inside the crystals, but sometimes those inclusions can become so severe that they actually crack the crystal. . The difference between an inclusion as opposed to a crack, is that it's small and adds beauty. Whereas a really big crack will actually destroy the crystal. . That's a good metaphor for us. The inclusions are faults, but the faults give the crystal it’s beauty and individuality, and on the whole it's a very glorious thing. . But if it has a really big crack through it, that would break the crystal and it wouldn't be able to keep that form anymore. Our consciousness is similar. We can't leave any glaring great big huge crack in our consciousness and think that's going be okay. . Even if we've created beauty in many other parts of our life and other parts of our consciousness. The universe will always bring us back and give us the opportunity to go in again, just do a bit more work on this place. . It doesn't mean we're failing. It just means we're going into a more advanced class on the same subject, and that the results will be outstanding if we just allow the universe to take us on the journey and open to the higher consciousness that will always show us how to get through.
