17.01.2022 When Gyms were pushed forward to open June 1st. Corebodytech Health & Performance was under the pump to get things set up on time for reopening.. Last week and this week has seen many new toys delivered just in time for the reopening! This is just a taster as there are many more toys to come with the shortage of stock across Australia. ... 17.01.2022 Corebodytech Health & Performance have been proud sponsors of the Adelaide Comets FC for the last 4 years and going on again for a 5th year in 2021. I personally myself have been involved with the club in coaching junior development for 7 years, and for the last 3 years as a strength & conditioning coach starting with the seniors playing group and this year preparing the U15's & 16's for seniors football. Over this time I have seen the unbelievable work the committed #CometsF...amily put in at the club which is led from the top with Jim Tsouvalas. As someone who has been involved with SA Football since the late 80's as player, it has been amazing to see where this club has come from. Playing in the SAASL amateur leagues to now as a powerhouse football club in the FFSA NPLSA from the Seniors all the way down to the juniors, in both male and female leagues. We at Corebodytech would like to congratulate all involved on an amazing season. To all the senior men's playing and coaching group and Adelaide Comets Family congratulation on becoming NPLSA Premiers for 2020!

14.01.2022 Strength/Power Training Vs. High Intensity Sprints & Intervals Vs. Steady-State Cardio All modalities have their benefits and a place in your programming, depending on your goal in mind. To be strong, lean, powerful & athletic - Go for a mixture of Strength/Power Training with High Intensity Sprints / Intervals.... Steady State Cardio Pros: Aids in recovery and reduces muscle soreness. People enjoy it as it is low impact and generally easier to perform. Cons: Can lead to muscle loss & slowing your metabolism with incorrect nutrition plan. Increases your appetite Most often is done way too frequently, increasing stress. Strength/Power Training With High Intensity Sprints & Interval Pros: Promotes fat loss & develops muscle mass Efficient and saves time Triggers EPOC (calorie burn long after workout is completed) Cons: Mentally challenging Difficult to start when very deconditioned. In Summary: If your focus is to lose fat and improve your body composition, then focus on strength /power training by lifting weights, supplemented along with doing high intensity sprints & interval training. If you're new to training and are very deconditioned, then focus on strength/power training by lifting weights, supplemented with steady state cardio training. Once conditioned and ready, increase your programming by switching the steady state cardio training to more intense high intensity sprints & interval training.

We prepared them for the 2020 season and their future ahead for their introduction into Seniors Football next year. They put in a massive effort all season and are becoming outstanding athlete's on and off the pitch. You can have all the football skills in the world, though why leave it all on the pa...rk? Through a strength & conditioning program we gave them an edge over the competition as we maximised their sports performance and decreased their chance of injury. We worked on making them stronger throughout the whole body to create more force production, so they could be more explosive over the first 5mtrs which wins games. We worked on their landing mechanics, change of direction and enhanced their endurance levels. So we would like to congratulate the Under 16 JPL Academy Team and Coach Steven Grelli who were victorious winners with a resounding 6-0 win over Campbelltown City in the Sportspower Zorich Group Cup Final. It is a credit to you all for all the hard work you put in all year on the pitch and in the gym this year. #adelaidecometsfamily

05.01.2022 SCALES DON'T ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH.. Never let the scales ruin your day, your motivation or attitude. The number on the scales are never a true reflection on what is going on with your body & it's weight/fat loss.. So many factors need to be taken into account on why you could weigh more than you did yesterday, last week or 4-12 weeks ago..... Factors such as the weight of food, waste in your system, menstrual cycles, water & more importantly as in this case 'Lean Muscle Tissue.' One of current clients who completed one of our challenges recently was worried that they were heavier than when they had started. If you check the image supplied you will see the scales in fact don't tell the whole truth. Sometimes an on the scales is enough to break ones motivation after weeks on end slaving away in the gym & watching their food consumption. Body Weight 2.70kg. Body Fat Weight 1.34kg. Body Fat % 3.20% Lean Muscle Mass 4.04kg So please if your one to stress over the numbers on the scale - throw it away and judge yourself on you body composition changes.
