21.01.2022 We have been busy looking after the garden at Kindy this week. The children have been helping us to dig, plant and water. They are helping to look after their kindergarten environment and learning about gardening by doing real work with us.

20.01.2022 Investigating light and optics with resources from the Qld Museum. Thanks to the families who have supported our Kindy by collecting loans from the museum, it is a wonderful resource.

20.01.2022 When everyone was staying safe at home we sent out letters to every child with a stamped addressed envelope inside. We asked children to send us some drawings on the paper enclosed. Our first drawings came back recently. We shared our exciting mail with the children at group time.

18.01.2022 Kindy families have been enjoying delicious pies and sweet treats from Pieman this week. Not only have the pies, rolls and sweet treats been absolutely delicious, Pieman created special vegan gluten free orders and made the fundraiser so easy to organise. 18.01.2022 Painting the Crocodile. The crocodile included in the Reptiles display from the Queensland Museum has inspired some wonderful paintings.

12.01.2022 The fascination of water play on a hot day is timeless! There is so much to investigate and learn as children explore how water flows, pours and moves around all sorts of objects. This child was totally immersed in his investigations today. What a delightful experience on a hot summer's morning!

12.01.2022 Recently Tammy Hampton Real Estate and videographer Ben visited our Kindy to film Teacher Kate, Assistant Dianne and the kids to make a snazzy movie for the Kindy. A couple of Kindy kids popped into Harcourts Marketplace Oxley this morning to say a BIG thank you to Tammy and Ben. 10.01.2022 We are excited to announce our new hours for 2021! Choose between longer days on Mondays and Tuesdays for Group 1 or a 3 days per week program for Group 2.

09.01.2022 How many kids would LOVE new toys every few weeks for SIX months? Two lucky Raffle winners will receive a membership to the Brisbane South Toy Library! The six month membership commences when the vouchers are first used - why not save them up for the long summer holidays!?! 08.01.2022 One of our dads kindly dug over the dirt patch over the weekend. THEN he hid some bones under, behind, around the logs, rocks and dirt. What a wonderful surprise the children had this morning when they discovered a new kind of treasure!

07.01.2022 Its Pie Drive time! A big thank you to Pieman Oxley for partnering with us for this fundraiser. Pieman Order forms were placed in families pockets and uploaded on Kindy Portal yesterday. 06.01.2022 We had a very successful Open Day on Saturday the 18th. So many families came for a visit. Some had never been to our Kindy and others came with the younger siblings of children who have been here in past years. It was delightful to meet everyone, answer questions and enjoy a relaxed morning together. Sincere thanks for all the families who contributed to the success of our Open Day through so many ways from greeting families at the door, making signs, tidying up the playground and setting up resources. Our Local Member of Parliament Jess Pugh dropped in to say Hello. Jess has been very supportive of our Kindergarten and we thank her for the hard work she does for our community. 04.01.2022 The church donated some magnificent Bird of Paradise flowers used at their first service back on Sunday. They created the inspiration for some beautiful art, prompting the children to look closely and notice shapes, colours and lines.

04.01.2022 We were very lucky to have Noahs mum Acting Sargent MacDonald visit us twice this week to talk with the children about how the police help our community. The children particularly enjoyed dressing up in police shirts and showing their friends. After the visit several children commented that they wanted to be police officers too so they could help people.

02.01.2022 Yesterdays storytime was very special. We loved the National Simultaneous Storytime book "Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas" by Lucinda Gifford.

02.01.2022 The children have loved watching our new fish swimming through their new home. They have all been taking turns to help clean the fish tank. A huge Thank You to Evans dad Dale for creating a beautiful watery world for the children to enjoy and learn from.

02.01.2022 We were very lucky to have Paul from the RSL visit our Kindy today and talk to the children about Remembrance day. Paul read a story to the children and then they tried on some of his uniforms.
