20.01.2022 So thankful for our new partnership with Crossway LifeCare, One Voice mobile shower service and Wayss, which sees the Cornerstone community have access to a lovely hot shower every Tuesday at Cornerstone, while accessing housing advice from a Wayss representative. Tuesdays, 10am - 1pm.

18.01.2022 One of the beautiful fresh veggie boxes we delivered last week to a local family in isolation. Cornerstone are continuing with our contactless food parcel service throughout Stage 4 restrictions.

17.01.2022 Cornerstone meals are operating tomorrow. The ATO breakfast will be served 7.30-9am. Lunch at 12 midday. Both meals will be served outside. We continue to ask our guests to maintain an appropriate distance from others, so that all our meals continue to apply with COVID-19 regulations. A big thank you to all of our volunteers, partners and supporters, who are crucial in enabling us to keep the meal programs going when people need them most. Stay safe and healthy!

14.01.2022 Hope everyone is keeping well! A quick update to let you know that at this stage our Cornerstone meals are going ahead, with a few slight changes. For the forseeable future, meals will be served outside rather than inside the hall. Fridays meal will be served at midday, with toasties served in the morning. This Friday 20th Orange Sky laundry van will be joining us in the far carpark between 10am-12noon. The Avalon Centre team will join us from 11am with some new clothing f...or those who need it. On Tuesday 24th we will have the ATO breakfast between 7.30-9am (again served outside), and will be joined by the health nurses from the Monash Health team. Tuesday lunch will be served at midday. 12.01.2022 Cornerstone has seen a huge increase in people seeking assistance with food parcels, particularly asylum seeker families and international students. You can support us with a donation of non-perishable groceries through Coles online shopping, following the steps below. This week we particularly need the following items; Olive oil, tea, sugar, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, shampoo, tinned soups, pasta, long-life full cream milk, cereal and green bags. ... A big thank you to those who donated items last week!

09.01.2022 At Cornerstone we have been distributing hundreds of food parcels each week, so we were very thankful to receive a big donation of dry goods from Friends of the Children Foundation, to replenish our pantry! For information on our food parcel service contact [email protected]

08.01.2022 As we move to providing contactless food parcels, our amazing friends at Ali Fresh and M & G Fresh continue to provide us with delicious produce from Dandenong Market twice each week. In this last week alone we have distributed over a hundred food parcels full of fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh bread and pantry staples.

08.01.2022 In the last month alone, Cornerstone have distributed over 750 food parcels to locals who are experiencing financial hardship. We are really excited to launch a new way you can support the work of Cornerstone, via donations of grocery items through our new Coles online donations account. Simply follow the instructions below to process an online order, and Cornerstone and Coles will look after the rest!... Items we frequently use are long life milk, tinned soup, spaghetti and baked beans, tinned tomatoes, pasta sauce, pasta, tea, coffee, muesli bars, instant noodles, dry lentils and chickpeas, flour, sugar, cereal, oats, baby food (jars and pouches), nappies and wipes. Donating groceries to Cornerstone Centre through Coles Online: 1. Visit shop.coles.com.au 2. Login or sign up for Coles Online by clicking on the Login/Signup icon on the menu on the right and follow the prompts 3. Click on the Choose a delivery time icon on the right menu 4. In the pop-out menu, click Choose another collection nearby 5. In the search bar, type in Endeavour Hills 3802 and click enter 6. In the search options, select the location Coles Cornerstone Centre Donations 7. Click Choose a collection time 8. Select the next available collection window available every Thursday 9. Once you have selected the collection window, you can start shopping and complete your order. A minimum spend of $50 is required. Coles will then pick and pack your donations, ready to be collected by Cornerstone Centre. You do not need to pick up the order. Please Note: On the day Cornerstone Centre collects the donations, you will receive an SMS notification to let you know that the order is ready to be collected and that you need to click a link to notify the store to start preparing the order. Please ignore this SMS as Cornerstone Centre will be collecting all donated orders. There is no further action required after you have checked out the order.

08.01.2022 After some COVID-19 challenges, it was wonderful to have some of our partner organisations visit Cornerstone yesterday. The team at Orange Sky mobile laundry service joined us, along with Debbie and Bill from the Avalon Centre, who distributed new clothes to our Cornerstone guests. You guys are amazing!

They also support us regularly with three weekly donations of fresh bread, which goes towards the many hundreds of fresh food parcels given out each week to those in need. As the current health crisis and resultant food shortages will have a huge impact on the homeless community, people have been getting in touch to ask how they can support the work of Cornerstone at the moment. Here are some of the key donations that will help us respond to the current needs; - Disposable takeaway containers (rectangular, 750mL) - New "green" bags - Hand sanitiser for our friends who sleep rough... - Monetary donations to help us make the purchases we need in response to the changing situation.
