24.01.2022 The City of Karratha through its partnership with the Pilbara Development Commission has commissioned the creation of a short promotional film for the 2020 Cossack Art Awards. This film explores and showcase the relationship between the Cossack Art Awards and local Aboriginal artists. We thank the Pilbara Delevopment Commission for this tribute to our annual awards and their ongoing support of this event. ... 23.01.2022 In 2020 we are extremely humbled to be able to honor one of the Pilbaras most treasured and talented artist, who we sadly lost last year Clifton Mack. Exhibiting alongside our 2020 Cossack Art award are 10 pieces, honoring Clifton, his work and his connection to this very event being a multi Cossack Art Awards winner. Clifton Mack: Feels Right will be exhibited on the top floor of the Post and Telegraph building for the duration of this years awards and we thank the team at Yinjaa-Barni Art Group for providing us with the works for this tribute.

While the heavens open up and we had our first ever Gala in the RAIN, it didnt seem to dampen anyones spirits. 15.01.2022 From today until 21 September the Red Earth Arts Precinct will be exhibiting a collection of works created by Carrie McDowell, from her 2020 Cossack Art Awards residency. The artist-in-residence program is sponsored by our principal partner Rio Tinto and provides the opportunity for a selected artist to immerse themselves in the unique Cossack heritage town and produce a series of artworks inspired by this. The 2020 program was open to all Pilbara artists to apply for and we ...are thrilled to have had Carrie, a multi Cossack Art Awards category winner appointed to this prestigious residency.
